Anybody wonder why the Japanese have kicked Detroit's ass in producing cars...since the 70's

Yeah I’m sure the roads in Minnesota are just full of mid 70s Toyotas and Hondas....

About 3 weeks ago, I saw a Pinto stationwagen in pristine condition driving down the highway in Virginia. I did a double take and wondered a) is it the only one left running and 2) why would someone spend a small fortune to preserve a car with such a bad reputation. But someone in Virginia has got a very nice Pinto still running.

I agree the Pinto was a POS, but give me a call whenever the Japanese make an equivalent to my F-350 DRW...
