I agree the Pinto was a POS, but give me a call whenever the Japanese make an equivalent to my F-350 DRW...

That's the point...Nissan and Toyota got into the large truck market late because Ford and GMC made and still makes a fine truck and that large truck market would have been very difficult to penetrate...

Nissan and Toyota paved the way for a smaller truck market though..

My first truck was a 1988 Nissan King Cab pickup truck....Ford nor Chevy made something even remotely similar..The truck was a gem...

$8,800 brand new....sold it 11 years later for $4,400 with 111,000 mile on..

Try that with ANY American made vehicle

No it isn’t!

What the Japs call “large trucks” are merely (sort of) full sized trucks.

I’ll admit, if I was in the market for an F-150 class vehicle, I’d give Toyota Tundra a close look.

For higher GVWR vehicles, there is NOTHING out of Japan.

NOTHING.
