Who are you praying to for a pro abortion and killer of traditional marriage and know liar candidate to win?

Since they are both proabortion, killers of marriage, and liars, and, since I have a duty to vote, the position is to vote on the basis of which one might have a better chance of improving people's lot on economic issues. I also have a duty to vote for the one I think may be more likely to change or be coerced to change on immoral issues when they both hold the same immoral positions. Also, it becomes immoral under those circumstances to vote for someone who has no chance of winning. Clearly, I would rather have had almost any other candidate than Romney but now, since it is decided, I need to make a rational choice despite the immoral stance on certain issues.

That same assurance concerning the SCOTUS decision on obamacare was given here on FR so many times... it boggles the mind. Reality is that this election will be the dirtiest and hardest fought, bare knuckles brawl seen since the days of Burr, Hamilton and dueling. That is... if mitt ever shows up to fight.

ALL of the data we have at hand shows that mitt's momentum has stopped and/or reversed. Even Rasmussen is showing this trend. It should be a blow out of Reagan proportions... but mitt has not even tied up his base... much less the squishy middle. Read Barrone and Krauthammer... even they are saying the same things that I am saying here. I just don't sugar coat it... we don't have the time for that kind of formality.

This thread is sounding like a wake. I understand the deep and heartfelt disappointment in Romney but for crying out loud can’t some of you hitch up your big boy pants and get on about the job of getting Obama out of office??!

You aren’t gonna get your conservative Christian firebrand visionary this time around. Quit sopping up your beer with your eyelids and suck it up.
Mitts gonna win cause he’s not Obama Period. That’s fine with me. Better fiscal decisions will be made, he’ll put a staff in place that’s NOT out of Commie Party casting, and he’s not gonna get caught in bed with a live boy or a dead girl.

I want to think the best about Romney... really I do. To hear some of you talk, it’s just gonna be doom, despair, 4 years of hell, and America is gone for good. Hell, I’d vote for a turnip if it meant getting the damn kenyan out.

Yup... I think Boner’s gutless and McConnell’s senile but when I’m talking to a new voter, an independent, or some liberal douche, I’ll make the bunch of them sound like 72 virgins on steroids! We have got to get that B’tard out of the WhiteHut and then go from there.

Ya’ll just lighten up a bit. Take a deep breath, go pi$$ off a liberal, and lets just take this one step at a time.

If Obama gets re-elected, we will have an Imperial President that doesn’t need the Congress or Judicial Branch. Good luck with that.

I’m voting Romney, because the alternative is too horrible to contemplate.

But I’m also voting for the staunchest conservatives on the ballot for House and Senate, to keep Romney in check.

Most importantly, I’ll be praying for a REAL conservative (Allen West, maybe?) to be elected to the Speaker position. Then maybe we’ll see some hearings and investigations, some special prosecutors, some impeachments, some tar-and-featherings, some hangings ...

No... some of us cannot and will not embrace evil for any cause. If you are willing... I will send you several links to videos of mitt romney... in his own words and uncut... and then see what you think of him and his chances. I am convinced 100% that he is going to lose because all data is showing that is where this election is trending. He cannot possibly defend himself from the chi town organization when they start hitting him with his endless 180 degree flip flops. romney is under attack from all sides... he is trying to skate by on nothing but how bad obama is... and that is all true but it is not enough.

boehner even made a statement about republicans not having to like mitt to vote for him... and the reason he did that was internal polling data. I know this is a fact. They are running scared... big donors are complaining about his lackluster performance on the pages of the Washington Post and they are attacking his timidity in taking the fight to obama directly. The the Speaker of the House tells the party that they don't have to like mitt or even tolerate him... they just have to vote for him because obama is that bad... and all because... so is mitt. Have you ever heard the highest elected official of the republican party ever make such a statement about the assumed party nominee? I have not.

I’m praying for a Romney win and that he turns out to be better than he currently appears.

I think it's sad that we're now seeing the Republican version of Hope & Change.

...this feels like a government plot that we are unequipped to fight.

Oh, we're equipped, alright. No one's made a move to actually fight just yet.

“romney is under attack from all sides”

He sure is - like YOU for example.
Don’t give me your pompous holier-than-thou “will not embrace evil” BS. You can’t win a fight unless you’re in the ring. Your attitude at this stage of the game is childish.
Boehner can say whatever he wants - plus, he happens to be right this time. People aren’t voting for Mittzy but against the POS..... FINE... I don’t care if their motivation is the bulge in his finely creased Mormon pants.
He’s doing a perfectly fine job raising money as you well know. He’s gonna get mangled over the mormon stuff real soon. And even though I mightily disagree with the Mormon religion myself, THERE IS NO OTHER CHOICE. And all the moaning and groaning isn’t going to change that FACT.

You want to Pi$$ on Mitzy fine, you want to vote 3rd, 4th or 20th party, knock yourself out. That you are willing to give Obastard one angstrom of a chance at reoccupation makes me question your sanity and motivation. Yes, that’s a harsh statement. But there is no functional difference between your oral diarrhea and the stuff on DU. Yes, I’m sure you’re a loyal blah, blah, blah and that you’ve been posting here since blah, blah, blah.
But if you were winning a head-to-head drag race for the title, sounds like you’d shut’er down cause your car hasn’t got a damn radio.
It cannot get worse than Obumo. It cannot get worse than Obumo. It cannot get worse than Obumo. Period.
Worry about our inevitable decline into RINO mediocrity AFTER the commie B’tard is way way the hell away from Washington.

Well, I apologize to all for ranting but I’m a realist and what we got is what we got so the only option is to work with it.
My disgust with the current administration is so deep and acidic, my normally civil demeanor breaks down on occasion.

No apology necessary from my viewpoint.

Romney was not my first choice by a longshot. But you pull yourself up by the bootstraps, swallow your disappointment and focus on removing this dictator-wanna-be out of the Oval Office.

Then you focus on policies, Congress, etc.

One mountain at a time.....

I think he has the business sense and common sense to start making things right again in this country. I pray we can get him elected or we are up the creek for sure.

I don't know why some people continue to delude themselves that Romney will somehow be a better president than Obama, when their records show that they're almost exactly on the same page.

What is it in Romney's record that gives anyone the slightest confidence that he'll govern any differently than Obama has, or turn the country around?

Look this over and point something out that gives you the confidence that Romney will perform as you say:

Mitt Romney’s Dismal Record

"As U.S. real output grew 13 percent between 2002 and 2006, Massachusetts trailed at 9 percent.

* Manufacturing employment fell 7 percent nationwide those years, but sank 14 percent under Romney, placing Massachusetts 48th among the states.

* Between fall 2003 and autumn 2006, U.S. job growth averaged 5.4 percent, nearly three times Massachusetts' anemic 1.9 percent pace.

* While 8 million Americans over age 16 found work between 2002 and 2006, the number of employed Massachusetts residents actually declined by 8,500 during those years.

"Massachusetts was the only state to have failed to post any gain in its pool of employed residents," professors Sum and McLaughlin concluded.

In an April 2003 meeting with the Massachusetts congressional delegation in Washington, Romney failed to endorse President Bush's $726 billion tax-cut proposal."

[Cato Institute annual Fiscal Policy Report Card - America's Governors, 2004.]

Romney's "accomplishments".

1. Implemented/created Gay Marriage in MA

2. Supported and forced Gay Adoption in MA

3. Supported Abortion wholeheartedly

4. Raised taxes/fees over 300% while being Governor of MA

5. Implemented a state-level Cap and Trade system.

6. Supported Man-Made Global Warming

7. Supported the Brady Bill

8. Implemented a state level “Assault” Weapons Ban after the Federal AWB was allowed to expire.

9. Supported TARP

10. Supported Amnesty for Illegal Aliens (Citizenship for those already here)

11. Supported McCain-Kennedy (Amnesty)

12. Implemented a socialized medicine in MA called RomneyCare complete with an Individual Mandate and $50 abortions.

13. Nominated 27 Democrats (out of 36 nominations) for judgeships in MA, many of them extreme left-wingers.
