Brad Pitt’s mom slams Obama on abortion (and same sex marriage)

SPRINGFIELD, Missouri, July 6, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Brad Pitt’s mother has shocked the Hollywood star’s fans after slamming President Obama for his views on abortion and same-sex “marriage” in a letter to the local paper in Missouri.

Jane Pitt says Obama is “a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage” and urges voters to back Republican candidate Mitt Romney.

“Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name [that isn’t Romney’s] is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama - a man who… did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer,” she wrote in the Springfield News-Leader.

An editor’s note at the bottom of the July 3rd letter on the paper’s website says that after some confusion, they have “verified the letter writer is the mother of actor Brad Pitt and local businessman Doug Pitt.”

Obama has been labeled the “abortion president” because of his radical views on the “right to choose”. His pro-abortion views are so extreme that he has even opposed protections for victims of failed abortions who are born alive.

As a state senator in Illinois, he voted against a bill that would require abortionists to provide care to an infant who is born alive during the course of a failed abortion. The legislation was brought forward after Jill Stanek, a nurse at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, exposed abortionists’ practice of abandoning babies born alive after failed abortions, leaving them to die in a hospital utility room.

In January, he marked the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade by praising the “fundamental constitutional right” to abortion.

Obamacare, his hallmark legislation that was upheld last week by the Supreme Court, has been called the largest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade.

Jane Pitt’s letter has generated controversy in part because Brad Pitt is known for his liberal views on social issues—he and partner Angelina Jolie famously vowed not to marry until all same-sex couples could as well—and only months ago he backed Obama in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“I’m an Obama supporter, no question,” he said.

In Jane Pitt’s letter, she takes aim at the claim that Christians ought to oppose Romney over his Mormon faith.

“I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon,” she writes.

“I hope all Christians give their vote prayerful consideration because voting is a sacred privilege and a serious responsibility,” she adds.

In Jane Pitt’s letter, she takes aim at the claim that Christians ought to oppose Romney over his Mormon faith.

Meanwhile, Barack Obama is an atheist secular humanist with a soft spot in his heart and mind for Islamists and Islamic imperialism.

Barack LIED to black congregations about being a Christian. He sees Jesus Christ as a "historic figure" and not the only way (if any) to salvation.

He claims to hold a "healthy skepticism of organized religion".

If Christians are considering the faith of the Presidential candidates, Barack Obama would be ruled out. He is not a Christian (although he publicly claims to be one without traditions other than Jeremiah Wright's political rally masked as a mosque er church) although he lies about it to secure their votes.

So to get his next gig, will Brad have to disavow his mom and have an affair with one of his adopted kids to get back in with Hollyweird?

Susan sarandon disavowed her Republican mom. The grandmother was just worried about her grandkids in the presence of a crazy daughter and crazy Su didn’t take to that kindly.

“go stifle yourself”

Whoa Nellie. I think we’re on the same side... That is if you agree with what Jane Pitt had to say.

Yes, of course!! When I first read the article, I imagined Pitt's reaction to his mom and immediately thought of Archie Bunker. Were Pitt's mom Edith Bunker, that would have been Brad Pitt's comment; agreed?

You sir need to relax. Enjoy a beer and read my posting history. When your done you can come back and apologize.

It’s statements like yours that turn people off on the though of voting for Romney. Keep that in mind when you go off on someone who has said they will.
