For June Pride Month, dedicated to celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons, the Target Corp. announced it would sell gay pride t-shirts and donate 100 percent of the proceeds to the Family Equality Council (FEC), a group that, among other issues, supports same-sex marriage and works to remove restrictions against LGBT persons adopting children.
In June, Target Corp. agreed to sell t-shirts in its stores nationwide for $12.99 to help the Family Equality Council raise $120,000 towards the defeat of the Minnesota Marriage Amendment in the Great Lakes State this November, according to Minnesota Public Radio.
The t-shirts, 10 varieties, promoted pro-gay themes such as the rainbow coupled with the word Pride or Harmony and Love is Love. A typical ad for one of the t-shirts read: PRIDE Mens Heather Grey Rainbow Colorblock Crew Graphic T-Shirt. Target will Donate 100% of PRIDE Merchandise Sales to Family Equality Council. Free shipping when you spend $50.
Targets communications director, Molly Snyder, told CNSNews.com: Target supports inclusivity and diversity in every aspect of our business and has a long history of supporting the LGBT community through giving, volunteerism and event sponsorship and participation. Over the past year, we heard from our team members and guests that theyd like to see an assortment of Pride merchandise available at Target.
The Family Equality Council was created in 1979 to advance gay rights and similar causes. It supports same-sex partnerships, adoption of children by homosexuals, and anti-bullying measures in schools, among other issues.

and to think I went out of my way to buy snausages there for the pups....
who’d a thunk that other ‘guys’ were there looking for other types of snausages...
I suppose they believe that they can make a profit off the 2% of fags that will shop there.
I know I don’t shop there now and have no intention of ever going there.
Target can lower their prices enough to get me in their store
What’s next, “Asthma Pride?”
“We’re fighting for our right to make you breathe as badly as we do!”
Hardly ever shop at Target. Now I wish I shopped there all the time so I could stop.
,,,,, haven’t shopped at TARGET for years since they tossed out the Salvation Army at Xmas time .
Bye bye perverts.
PLEASE always put homosexual “marriage” in quotes. Don’t surrender the language to the PC commissars of filth. Our children must know that not everybody agrees with homosexual “marriage.” Putting quotes around same-sex “marriage” will not disrupt the FR search functions.
Nor have I.
When I go to a store its not to get a lesson in diversity or social equality. But Target has the right to pander to fudge packers and social deviates if they want to. Just like I have the right to avoid their store and their stock - which I do.
Another store goes off my shopping list.
A friend of mine saw one at the local Target and placed it near the entrance of the store which happened to be the children’s section. When you walking in, it was the first thing you saw. The reaction was priceless. People looked appalled. Eventually someone complained to management and it was moved back to the proper rack.
I can’t rewrite titles of articles; aside from FR not allowing it (but permitting appendices for clarification), it’d be a disingenuous misrepresentation of the liberal media’s stance.
