(CNN) – President Barack Obama's re-election campaign announced Monday that it, along with the Democratic National Committee, raised $71 million in June from more than 706,000 donors.
The amount lags far behind the $106 million Mitt Romney and the Republican National Committee raised last month, a number the campaign made official early Monday.

Yeah but Obama has the press and the unions and academia. (and now the Supreme Court) He doesn’t need as much money.
It’s important to keep in mind that Obama recieves the equivilent of hundreds of millions of dollars worth of campaign advertising from the MSM and various cable outlets like MSNBC and CNN in the form of fawning and dishonest coverage of him and trashing of his opponent(s).

My guess is that its too early to start the heavy campaign commercials. Just wait until after the conventions. The GOP and Mitt will save the resources to counter the points of the Rat positions that come from the Rat party convention.
Don’t get discourged about messaging until the September or Later time frame. Its the last 60 days that count. American’s want a change and its coming in November 2012. Let the Rat’s follow the Pied Piper off the cliff.
What would be sweet is if Obama could be caught in a normally candid moment, making some disparaging comment about America, etc.

In terms of total dollars raised for the campaign, “0” is still way ahead. Many of his donors (extortees) have already been fully cleaned out. Many Republican donors were waiting until the party’s candidate had been effectively selected before donating.
