Leadership: On a day when unemployment topped 8% for the 41st month in a row, it's worth noting Vice President Joe Biden told Ohioans Tuesday that "so-called job creators" don't build the economy. It explains a lot.
Campaigning in hotly contested Ohio, Biden told a National Education Association conference that big government spending strengthens the economy, not the private sector, the Washington Examiner reported. "We believe that the way to build this country is the way we always have, from the middle out .. .(to) invest in things that have always made our economy grow: innovation, research, development, infrastructure and education," the vice president said.
After that he launched a fusillade of class warfare rhetoric, painting Republican candidate Mitt Romney as a Monopoly-money plutocrat. Romney, he said, believes "somehow that those so-called job creators will make everything OK for the rest of us."
Combine that with President Obama's claim "the private sector is doing fine," and it's clear the White House is out of touch with the most basic facts about where jobs come from and why the economy isn't recovering.
In fact, "those so-called job-creators" are desperately needed to "make everything OK for the rest of us."
The private sector grew an anemic 84,000 jobs in June and averaged just 75,000 jobs in the second quarter, nowhere near enough to keep up with the population entering the workforce.

If you have delusions of grandeur about the so-called American Dream, and even think about making more than $250,000, you will suffer the wrath of the Central Planners and be issued confiscatory tax rates as a punishment for having any kind of thought of upward mobility.
If you are thinking about expanding your small business by hiring other middle-classers (and since you are a so-called "job creator"), if it means that you will ultimately make more money, don't hire! Please!

A better statistic is the 80K jobs created in June vs the 85K workers that left the workforce to join SS disability the same month. These ‘workers’ are removed from the unemployment count and make it look like unemployment has been reduced, when it is even worse. Why not just put all the unemployed on government paid SS disability and reduce unemployment to zero??
This again is like Soylent Green, feeding us our own dead and lying to us by claiming it is a new source of (natural) food.

Demand creates jobs but trade deals create the jobs in other countries. About everything you buy is made somewhere other than the USA.
Why does it cost the government money to “create jobs” when, in the private sector creating jobs ALSO creates a profit?
My brother runs a landscape business - if it cost him money to create a job he would be out of business. He needs to MAKE money on each job created.
He sometimes asks a new employee who isn’t working up to par “I am paying you $10 an hour, do you feel like you are creating $10 an hour worth of value?”.
If they are foolish enough to answer “Yes.” he tells them “If you are ONLY creating $10 an hour worth of value - get the hell off my job site - because it costs me $20 an hour to employ you, and I’m trying to MAKE MONEY.”
Only in the government does it COST money to create a job.
And virtually all of those things are available to us at lower prices.
If a man in India is trained as an engineer, makes $30k per year, doesn't own a car, and lives in a three room house with parents, grandparents, siblings, nieces and nephews, then it will be possible to create the same products as those produced in the USA but at a fraction of the cost.
What is amazing is not that we have lost jobs, but that we have retained ANY. Until such time as the standard of living in poorer nations rises sufficiently, we will continue to experience job losses to overseas economies.
The alternative, which we are seeing, is a collapse in the standard-of-living in the USA. Somehow, we must become as productive as those in other nations. There is no alternative to that basic economic reality. Transportation and communication have evolved to the point that we cannot return to an economy consisting of only ourselves.
Liberals are happy to burden the productive among us with supporting the un-productive. This ensures that our products are more expensive than elsewhere and provides the economic incentive to move our jobs to more productive environments.
