A State Revolt Against ObamaCare Emerges

Health Reform: After the Supreme Court's ruling, President Obama declared ObamaCare "here to stay." But a revolt is brewing among states that, if it continues, could cause key pieces of the misbegotten law to collapse.

If Obama is reelected, war is coming between the Federal government and the red states , either with paper or more. Obama won't allow this state “defiance” without reprisal. He will cut other Federal funds, deny aid for disasters, harass with the EPA, etc. He will crush the opposition unless he is crushed himself.

But a state revolt does provide increased hope that, one way or another, ObamaCare's days are numbered.

Unfortunately for those of us who live in states like NY which are just this side of communism, our state government will embrace anything which will replace something in the private sector with new public sector control.

We have too many “free riders” (aka Free Loaders) in NY who see a tasty gravy train in Obama’s CommieCare.

Here in PA, where health insurance companies are a major employer, they are actually pressuring Tom Corbett to take the money and expand Medicare.

Either there are government contracts available to them to administer it or it will get low-income people off of their CHiP plans....not sure why they are supporting this.

Following the Supreme Court ruling that largely upheld the Affordable Health Care Act, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley has announced that she will push to not expanding Medicaid or participate in any health exchanges.

Haley said via Facebook:

"South Carolina will NOT expand Medicaid, or participate in any health exchanges. We will not support Pres. Obama's tax increase or job killing agenda. I WILL do everything I can to get Mitt Romney elected and work to strengthen our Senate so that we can repeal this unAmerican policy aimed at moving our country in the wrong direction."

Haley joins other Republican Governors in her stance. Florida Governor, Rick Scott also stated that he, "will not implement two provisions of the U.S. healthcare law involving an expansion of Medicaid for the poor and creation of a private insurance exchange". S.C. and Florida joins Wisconsin and Louisiana in rejecting two provisions last week.

My wife works for one of the PA based insurance companies and their original position was that they were going to get a whole lot more customers and a government forced guaranteed income stream.

Well the joke is on them (but we get hurt the most) because they were not listening when Fearless Reader said in one or more of his 2008-2009 speeches that this HC bill was just the FIRST STEP to government HC and elimination of the private insurance industry.

How stupid are these grossly overpaid chief executives when they cannot even listen to what the president is saying he is going to do?

The paperwork is already growing exponentially and new mandates (well new to us) like having to send copies of marriage licenses and birth certificates (actual ones not like the muslim in chief) to the insurance company to prove we are married and have children.

I know exactly what the Klan With A Tan is going to do. Once all these new clients (illegals and yes HE LIED) are added to the rolls, Obomination will cut back on payments to everyone he wants to eliminate and the insurance companies will be the first on his list.
