Senior White House adviser David Plouffe on Tuesday accused wealthy Mitt Romney supporters of trying to "purchase the White House," one day after the presumptive GOP nominee announced a $106 million June fundraising haul that stunned the Obama campaign.
“You’ve got a few very wealthy people lining up trying to purchase the White House for Mr. Romney,” said Plouffe on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “We’re going to have to have everybody out there who wants the president to continue to a second term to step up and help the campaign.”
After seeing Romney and the Republican National Committee (RNC) outpace Obama for two straight months, the president’s campaign is pressuring donors to intensify their fundraising efforts.

This is satire, right? This coming from the campaign that set fundraising records in 2008, and was bragging earlier this year that they were going to raise over a billion dollars. Of course, when Republicans outraise them, it’s “a few wealthy donors,” or “shadowy right wing groups.” Never mind that labor unions, GE, Goldman Sachs and Wall Street, and Hollywood financed him in ‘08, and that the majority of large donors are Dems. Plouffe just can’t resist playing the class warfare card.

Funny that an OBAMA staff person should bring up this point - that elections are somehow “purchased”. Wasn’t it the same bunch that was walking around a few months ago, smacking a baseball bat into the open palm of their other hand, saying they were going to raise a “billion” dollars to insure re-election?

I don’t think there has been a WH, Obama adviser, supporter or Obama himself article leading off with a quote over the past week that I haven’t automatically had to look up for the semi-news satire or some other like tag at the top. These people are laughable.
