Adelson could have been smarter and cut Romney off at the knees the second there was a stench of vote fraud ~ which there was.
What Adelson brings to politics is not just money but Democrat attitudes toward political misbehavior.
His charitable giving is always to be commended ~ he should give more!

I agree with his logic concerning the Citizen’s United ruling. I would support limits on campaign contributions if there were term limits. These incumbents are a bunch of hypocrites!! I respect McCain’s service to this country, but would he have been elected to Congress in the first place except that he gained wide name recognition when he came back from the Hanoi Hilton. There are plenty of people qualified to do his job.

Although this was a well written piece, it is really a defense of Sheldon Adelson; it does not address the question posed by the title. It is unfortunate, as exploring that set of motivations is a worthy investigation.

I don’t know why he’s surprised. Many Jews have turned their backs on God and Israel plenty of times throughout history. I’d say this is just another one of those times.

I would like to see a comparison (although I am sure it is impossible) between the Jews who lived in Babylon and how they may or may not have become integrated compared to American Jews who talk in reverent tones about the Holy Land and than support a government opposed to a sustainable Jewish State? Jews were strong advocates of Communism in response to years of pogroms in East Europe, of course they ultimately had to deny their faith and embrace communism or end up in Siberia. People forget the mass exodus of Soviet Jews to America (hell I do not think most students in Public School know what the USSR was) Now Reform Jews and some Conservative Jews are strong advocates of secularism as if it will some how make people more friendly to Jews. Only the Hasidic Jews seem to truly recognize the threat of secularism. Eventually secularism will demand they deny their faith. Secularism is attacking Christianity now, when they are done with us, Jews will be next.

Later, after his fathers passing, when he achieved wealth and visited Israel for the first time, he wore his fathers shoes so they could create traces in the holy land. This brought tears to my eyes. What a fine job his parents did raising him. What a grateful and tender heart.

Harris forbade any Republicans from accepting their money due to allegations made against them by a disgruntled former employee. I'm afraid Rabbi Schmuely Boteach is giving David Harris and his asinine organization, the National Jewish Democratic Council, much too much deference and respect for some imagined authority that they fortunately do not have. Neither Harris nor the NJDC can forbid any Republican candidates from taking anyone's money!

Worse than that. They’ve been showing videos the last 2 or 3 nights on FNC of Jesse Waters’ interview/questions of vacationing college kids at Jones Beach about our history.
When asked to name one of our founding fathers, one kid said (chuckling) “Abraham Lincoln?” Another asked (again grinning) “what’s a founding father?”. It went downhill from there. These were all easy questions that we could answer without hesitation, but only one student gave a correct answer. JW had asked from whom were we fighting for independence - that one student said King George. The other answers were doozys.
It’s appalling at how UNeducated our kids are from kindergarten through college in the basics, including our true history and any civics/citizenship whatsoever. Instead, the pervasive leftist agenda indoctrinates them with lies and propaganda of all kinds, and barrages them from day one with how-to sex, free condoms, diversity, tolerance and alternative lifestyles. How frightening to think these young Obama-tons are now voting and will one day be in charge!!!
Sorry for getting off the subject here, but your one statement above triggered my rant :-)))

Amazingly the prohibition on criticizing lord Romney extends to lord Adelson.
BTW, Yehuda, you are full of it.

BTW, outside of his contributions to Adelson, his move to Romney suggests very strongly he, Adelson, has no core values ~ no real Conservative would do that.

yehuda, you are rearranging the words to suit your own belief ~ to wit, that i come onto jewish threads and say nasty things. Since i do not do that nor have i ever done that you are misrepresenting what i have said.
Now you find it convenient to accuse me of drinking. why are you unable to debate without engaging in ad hominem attacks?
don't you professional Mittbots have any intelligence at all?
