Politics: The GOP candidate showed the content of his character at the NAACP convention by not pandering to blacks beset by illegitimacy, poverty, crime and joblessness — and an indifferent president who stayed away.
For refusing to pander to black voters in his speech to the NAACP convention, Mitt Romney was accused by MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell of pandering to his white base.
The speech, O'Donnell insisted, was part of a GOP "Southern strategy" used to appeal to "racial and racist voting." Over at the Daily Beast, Michael Tomasky came unhinged, contending that Romney's attempt to describe the plight of black Americans under President Obama's hope and change, and offering real solutions to fixing the government that oppresses them, made him "a spineless, disingenuous, supercilious, race-mongering pyromaniac."

Romney should simply point out that the liberals deny urban minorities vouchers and force their kids to be poorly educated in union dominated schools. Of course urban liberals “choose” private schools for themselves. And it just so happens that the liberals situate most abortion clinics in minority neighborhoods.
Romney needs a Veep that will pound this message home...but he needs to stick with the top line issues (it's the economy stupid)!
I am glad Romney is basically giving black Americans a wake up call , to think rather than to vote their own knee jerk racist minds and hearts.Obama and the Dem liberal fascists have nothing good in store for racial minorities, other than using them for cannon fodder in the establishment of the false Utopia envisioned by their collective of sick totalitarian minds. All Romney is saying is what is being said by every black conservative in the country. And he is saying it well.I begrudge any compliment to Rino Romney, but he is doing exactly what is needed in this case.I hope he is not later cowed and continues to solidify his message.Its not rocket science. Just look at the abortion rate among black folks, their declining population in America, and the black unemployment rate.Thats what Obama represents.The racial and ethnic community is nothing more than a usable resource for Barak Hussein Obama, cannon fodder.

They are badly overplaying the race card. True, they don’t have a whole bunch of other cards in their hand other than personal attacks on Romney, but still, they already have the black vote. All this constant labeling of conservatives as racist is gonna do is make at least a few blacks realize they are being played, and alienate some swing voters or even lefty whites.

They know exactly what they are doing..they are hoping for a race riot, anything to ensure elections don’t take place. The race card worked in 2008, white guilt worked in their favor, they know it won’t work again..so all they have left is either going to war with Iran in October or having a huge race war making sure elections won’t take place. They know they will lose in November, otherwise they wouldn’t even waste their time trying this

The sad truth is that Barack Obama could, still, win re-election this November, despite all of the past, present, and future problems that are connected to the entire left.
I predict that before the election, Vegas odds makers will favor the above by 2 to 1 (that is if they make book on it at all). It may be clear by September if not earlier.
