How about one year suspension for every year that Joe Paterno coached there.

† Long prison terms for those who failed the children. Spanier, Schultz and Curley — all of them in inmate coveralls....

...and in the general population at Graterford, not some minimum security Fed Pen, thank you very much.

IMHO, the football program should be shutdown for 8 years. The idea would be that not only the current group of students won’t see football anymore but the next groups that come in won’t see Penn State f-ball either and they will graduate as well and when it is reinstated, none of the current students except for several that may have been in school like this past school year and earlier would not know football as an institution at Penn State.

I know in the past there were fraternity and sorority houses shutdown for several years back when I was an undergrad to try to get rid of a reputation such as homosexuality. There was a sorority that was shutdown for almost 8 years at a college in Indy and they had a problem with lesbianism that got bad there.

Off tangent, I use to be a big fan of Indiana University basketball until Bobby Knight got fired but I sure hope none of this crap happened in the IU B-ball program.

The program should absolutely be shut down for a while, at least two years.

I don’t see the NCAA doing that. I don’t see Penn State doing that. It’s all about money.

If SMU deserved the death penalty for cheating, how much more does PSU deserve a punishment 10 times worse....

I want to add, it should be confirmed beyond a reasonable doubt that if Paterno was involved, anything related to him, his name should be stripped from the Penn State campus. Statue torn down, his name removed from the records there, if his name is on anything like buildings, rooms, etc, removed.

This should be confirmed by someone else independent of the former FBI director. That investigator should do a fresh investigation and not see the Freh (sp?) report)

[ In the silence of Saturdays, you might hear the faint screams of boys who had been looking for adults to rescue them. And found none. ]

I’m not so sure Penn State should ever have a football program again.

They should immediately waive the one-year rule to sit out for all Penn State players, so they can transfer to other schools.

Many of the comments here sound as if they written by the Prosecution in the Trayvon Martin-Zimmerman case.

Before imposing penalties, perhaps we should wait for the accused individuals to give their side of the story?

Penn State is no different than all public universities which promote pride in sodomy and do not allow anyone to say negative things about homosexuality. This is just the typical homosexual lifestyle which always is based on pederasty since Ancient Greece and all cultures since forever. Even today—Sandusky acts are normal in Afghanistan (and praised)—just as it was for the Samurai—and Asian countries and ancient Western Civilization. Godless people, or Satanists, defile the body with acts which desecrate the creative force in humans because it makes humans most like God. It is why Satanism/orgies/homosexuality, human sacrifice are so entwined—to desecrate the good and corrupt the young and reduce man to base animal and base urges.

Christianity destroyed the worldview that pederasty was good and put homosexuality in the closet as did Natural Law Theory. Homosexuality is a learned worldview—lifestyle—which is an immature fixation and hatred of half of the human race. Since learned while forming sexual identity—which is corrupted—they fixate on the age when corrupted and seduced. Sandusky was probably sexually abused when a boy also—which doesn’t excuse him.

Any promotion of homosexuality—any “acceptance” of that vile, disgusting, disordered use of the body—is always lust and the promotion of child abuse.

We need to rid the schools of this normalization and promotion of homosexuality which always includes pederasty. It is Satanic and Marxist—since it is Godless, and completely destroys the Christian Ethics which is needed for Constitutional Rights and freedom.

Any schools which promote homosexuality in anyway, supports and teaches Sandusky ethics. Homosexuality is all about the boys—History proves it.

There are two things going on here:
1. PSU knew about and condoned Sandusky’s behavior.
2. Protecting the university's reputation was minor; preserving the CASH FLOW was the main reason.

You will never root out the evil at PSU until you kill the root. That root is the cash cow of the PSU sports programs. So, to kill the problem, you kill ALL the sports programs at PSU for 10 years. Let the students transfer elsewhere without prejudice, but fire ALL the coaches and administrative support. Kill sports at PSU for 10 tears. After 10 tears, PSU can apply for reinstatement, but at the rate of one sports program per year. The only way to assure this never happens again is to hurt PSU in what they value the most -- the money coming from their intercollegiate sports programs. Cut of the head of this snake and the rest of the evil body dies.

What is all the fuss? NAMBLA is busy trying to normalize man on boy sex through the same methods as the radical homosexual lobby normed homosexual behavior. Once they succeed this type of behavior will be a ‘right’ not a crime.
While everyone is screaming about Penn State the NAMBLA lobby is laughing themselves silly.
From wikipedia - The North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) is a pedophile and pederasty advocacy organization in the United States that works to abolish age of consent laws criminalizing adult sexual involvement with minors, and for the release of all men who have been jailed for sexual contacts with minors that did not involve coercion.

Indicators that President Sprainer would cultivate a climate conducive to creating an environment determental to non-gay students. The president of the university was a known adherent of sexual deviation(s)....

I think that a very visible example needs to be made out of the individuals responsible for this. I’m pretty sure that this will be a textbook case for every university administrator in the country for years (decades) to come. Everyone who touched this tar baby should be fired. And, at this point, I’m sure that’s going to happen. Additionally, I’m sure PSU will suffer financially from all that lawsuits.

That being said, PSU is THE flagship public university in Pennsylvania. Its just wrong to penalize the current players and students for crimes they didn’t commit. Punish those responsible, clean house and start with a clean slate, but minimize damage to the university.
