With The Drudge Report driving speculation that Condoleezza Rice is now a leading contender in the Republican veepstakes, campaign surrogates and supporters say Rice electrified Mitt Romney's circle last month with a speech she delivered at the candidate's closed-door June fundraising retreat in Park City.

Rice's forceful and surprisingly partisan 13-minute address — audio of which has been obtained by BuzzFeed — won her two standing ovations from the gathering of big-money donors and GOP elite. It was widely considered the highlight of the weekend, several people present told BuzzFeed.

Poke around and find Condi’s response to “gun control” and then tell me you don’t want her as VP, or better yet, P.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Read a review (in HuffPo—GAG) about her book “Extraordinary, Ordinary People: A Memoir of Family”.

Interesting. And I understand the roots of her 2nd Amendment feelings.

Many of my ancestors were from AL. They were “displaced” during Reconstruction for resisting the abuses of that time. They went GTT to escape a corrupt abusive Occupying Federal Government. Subject is not discussed here, there were no books written but the oral traditions are still on occasions mentioned. Some things you simply do not put in print.

By the way, still do not think she will want to be the VP nominee. Think she would be better placed in the administration in another role. No reflection on her abilities.
