“Okrent” is not a very common surname. Wonder if the deceased was related to Daniel Okrent, onetime sportswriter of note who branched out and became the New York Times ombudsman and wrote a play that seems to be running off Broadway in New York presently. Judging from the photos, and taking into account the age difference, there seems to be perhaps a slight facial resemblance.

This is in the One Prudential Plaza building, the iconic Prudential building at the north end of Grant Park.

Opened in 1955, it was the tallest building in Chicago at the time.

Worked on a renovation project there in 1985-86—fond memories of the place and the Pru people who worked there.

Well all his work sure made America a better place. At least he died before the death panels got him.

Obama said having people faint at his acts was normal.

Sad to die so young, in any case.

I’ve known a lot of bleeding heart libs at 29 that grew out
of it and became conservatives. P.J. O’Rourke for one. Too
bad this one didn’t get the chance.

Obama called his family. How long did it take him to call the family of Brian Terry who was killed as a result of a failed Obama operation?

Must have caught the same bug as the LA coroner who suddenly dropped dead on the day Breitbart’s LA autopsy report was released.

The coroner died from Arsenic-itis. Also known as “poisoned by Obama.”

But don’t worry folks, I’m sure Omoslem will make sure a COMPLETE autopsy is performed on this campaign 2004/2008 worker Alex Okrent.... just like they didn’t do on the PREVIOUS Obama campaign worker, Kam Kuwata, who was mysteriously murdered b/c he witnessed too much working for Obama’s 2008 campaign.

Well he looks perfectly healthy there.

Of course there are always some young people, often younger than this guy, who drop dead of undiagnosed heart problems.

I’m sorry for his family, that is really an awful loss.

Alex Okrent, 29, collapsed at the Chicago office headquarters this morning at Prudential Plaza and was later pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial. His parents say the Wesleyan graduate had a heart attack after working out.

Lynn Pollack says her son loved politics and life. He studied government, social theory, economics and history and was committed to the Democratic Party, she tells CBS 2 Suzanne Le Mignot.

That photo of the Dearly Departed studying the map reminds me of that much over-used clip from a movie about Hitler down in his bunker getting the bad news about the downfall of his Reich.

It must be on You Tube somewhere....

He went to Wesleyan University which was founded by Methodists.

So I have to assume that either this Methodist school cares nothing about the founders of the institution (Armenianist Christians) or that he rejected the teachings of said school so he could support a pro-abortion politician.

I know, I know. It's both.
