MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Investigators in Fridley say they need help solving one of the most bizarre cases they’ve ever seen.
Police say they arrested a woman who refuses to tell them who she is. She won’t give her fingerprints, And she has no identification.
Authorities found her hiding in a closet in someone else’s home holding scissors and a cell phone.
The arrest happened Monday after the new owners of a home on 98 Rice Creek Way in Fridley returned from their July 4 vacation and couldn’t get in.
The place was supposed to be empty for renovations, but the locks had been changed, the lights were on, and drapes or blinds were up covering the windows.
In what part of Texas is this happening? I had not heard about it before you posted that.
Cops are too wimpy to or too dumb to get a mug shot and fingerprints?!?

This is Minneapolis, man! It’s surprising some bleeding heart hasn’t filed suit against the police and the rightful homeowner for disrupting this vermin’s parasitic lifestyle. The only people police are allowed to browbeat and intimidate are suburban male speeders.

HUH? I was a Desk Sergeant at a County Prison for 5 years. I had numerous prisoners brought in stating that they would not give finger prints. Everyone did.
What the hell is going on in this Country???

Jane Doe jailed in Anoka County is identified by fingerprints, police say

Known until now among Anoka County Jail staff as Jane Doe, investigators believe they know the name of the inmate who has been refusing to reveal her identity.
After taking the woman’s fingerprints off a clean glass provided to her at the jail and running the sample through a federal database, authorities found a match Friday, July 27, according to Lt. Paul Lenzmeier, spokesman for the Anoka County sheriff’s office.
Though she refuses to confirm it, the woman is believed to be 37-year-old Tammy Antoinette Thomas.
“We don’t know where she is from but her ... name came from a Texas arrest,” Lenzmeier said. He added that the search also uncovered several arrest warrants out of Wisconsin for Thomas, but he said he wasn’t sure what the warrants were for.
Thomas has been in Anoka County Jail since July 13, four days after she allegedly was found squatting in a vacant Fridley home that was in the process of being renovated. She reportedly had hung sheets over the windows, changed the locks and appeared to be storing clothes and food in the home when one of the owners returned to check on the house. A stolen car also was found parked in the garage.
Thomas also gave the name of the 2-year-old daughter of the owner of the car she is accused of stealing when asked to identify herself in Anoka County court, the complaint said.
She faces charges of trespassing, motor vehicle theft, theft and two counts of identity theft.
Having her name hopefully will help investigators piece together more of her story, Lenzmeier said.
