Reagan and John Paul shared a conviction that communism was a moral evil, not just a bad economic system. And Lech Walesa, founder of the Solidarity movement that led the anti-communist struggle in Poland, has often paid homage to both men and told the AP in a recent interview that he deeply respected Reagan.
"Reagan should have a monument in every city," Walesa said.

This has always been one of my favorite pictures.
And Reagan, JPII, and Lady Thatcher defeated the Soviet Union.

"Reagan should have a monument in every city," Walesa said. The big government loving GOP-e would hate that.

"Reagan should have a monument in every city," Walesa said. Indeed, Mr. Walesa. You and the people of Poland are a GOOD friend to REAL Americans...thank you.

There is a beautiful statue of President Reagan in Budapest, Hungary.

The people of Newport Beach, California were nice enough to vandalize their statue of President Reagan last year.

If you don't they cut your head off.

Thanks FatherofFive. It seems like only yesterday, but we have moved so far in the wrong direction since those glorious days of Reagan.
The thing is, I believe we could be back in less than one term with the next Reagan.
If we had one.

Don't worry; there are plenty of Reagan statues all over the world.
Here is one of my favorites. It is on the "Liberty Walk" among statues of Churchill, Thatcher and other recent giants of Western civilization at Hillsdale College, which National Review has labeled a "citadel of American conservatism."

An old buddy sent his daughter to Hillsdale College, that was the first time I’d heard of it.
