SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Quentin Tarantino is redefining race relations in the pre-Civil War South with "Django Unchained," his Western-style saga that he previewed at the Comic-Con fan convention.

Tarantino said Saturday that he has been wanting to do a Western for ages and that the idea for "Django Unchained" first came to him 13 years ago.

I know I'm being paranoid but doe's anyone remember reading the book "Red Storm Rising" and how the USSR was broadcasting old anti-Germanic movies before the the plot to start WWIII was implemented?

I really don't see why this anti-white and anti-Southern crap is being tossed out to the ignorant easily manipulated masses at this time. The movies release date is not until December BTW.

What's next, an anti Yankee film about how bad we treated the Mexicans before the Mexican-American war.

I see similar hints that groundwork is being laid. I think the folks at the top are getting ready for the big show.

But I've been wrong before.

Looks awesome. I can't wait to see it.

Kill Bill 1 and 2 were narcissistic junk, but I loved Inglorious Basterds.

It’s Tarantino. Excessive violence with no script and no plot beyond excessive violence. The only thing recommending it is the high body count. And did I mention excessive violence?

And did I mention excessive violence?

I think so.

But what about the high body count?

So, Tarantino finally watched the old Django series of Spaghetti Westerns and decided to make his own Django movie.

I live in the South and both my kids attend Schools which are heavily black. Most of the black kids are just fine but I’m surprised by some of the things my kids tell me that they hear from a some of these black kids. You would think that slavery just ended.

Sergio Corbucci says, "Hey, why didn't I think of that?"

Quentin Tarantino magic ping. Creative genious mixed with absurd humor and absurd violence at its best ever. I’m looking forward to this one.
However, the theme and timing considering Obozo and Holder, well, Charlie just might be smiling about Helter Skelter again, and I’m sure some gangbanger punks will be inspired to be murderous punks by this movie.

I’ve not heard of the original Django series. I will have to look them up as I am a big fan of Spaghetti Westerns. Very little dialog but lots of facial and body language closeups.

You should give them a try. The title character carries a machine gun in a coffin! :-)

Also, I think that you should give some “Borscht Westerns” a shot. White Sun of the Desert has elements that you would recognize from a Spaghetti Western,

Yeah you’re being paranoid. It’s a Tarantino movie, not that many people watch, he’s got a big rep but really his numbers aren’t that big. Looks like a fun fine movie though.

Nothing finally about it, he likes to let movies rattle around in his head for a long time. And really if you pay attention Inglorious Basterds is actually a spaghetti western, just happens to be in WWII, but all the styles and structures and music are there.

I’ve not seen Kill Bill but Pulp Fiction ,Jackie Brown and Reservoir Dogs were pretty good. Inglourious Basterds was o.k.
