IED’s are not a problem ... simply kill every man , woman and child within a mile of the IED blast and after a VERY short while they will not tolerate anyone planting the bombs.

The Russians tried a very similar strategy with proven negative results. This is a tribal society. They will fight to the last by any means available.

In that case, we should do what General “Stonewall” Jackson said during the battle of Fredricksburg: “Kill them. Kill them all.”

Actually, seriously, post 911, we should have destroyed the country and left. . .leaving a warning that if they EVER stuck their heads out of that sh*tbox again, we would take Stonewalls advice.

How about the opposite tack? Pay them to protect a stretch of road. No IED - food, water, electricity and money are yours.

Actually, since it’s a Palantir, send in the Nazgul. And have them bring along a few thousand Orcs, Wargs and Urukhai.

Since this seems to be the Major Killer of our Military, they should stop at nothing to protect our Military on the battlefield.

Take a trip to Walter Reed, then come back and tell us about collateral damage again.
