“It couldn’t happen here. We have the TSA.”

Not funny. People are screaming because the TSA are checking, not only at airports, but trains. If they didn’t, and something happened, people would be screaming that the government should have done more.

Let’s face it...this probably could not have been avoided. I haven’t kept up with the news tonight, but a suitcase was placed on that bus, or a suicide bomber got onboard. Very easy either way.

I worked for one of the airlines involved on 9/11. When watching it on TV that morning, I thought....damn...how easy it was for them? Later I found out that yes...it was so easy. Again...just damn!

In no way shape or form was I blaming Jews. And I completely agree that Jews go across the entire political spectrum in their beliefs. I was just trying to make sense of particular Israelis, like some of the liberal ones that live in Tel Aviv. It is not just them I find curious, but the Israeli courts sometimes demand Israel to provide medical aid to Palestinians in Gaza. Indeed, we have the same troubles in North America with Jews that happen to be liberal.

Boy do I agree with that! I think CS Lewis alluded to this when he made the God of Calormenes (clearly Moslems) called Tash.

The Bulgarian name comes from the Bulgars who ruled the area in the Middle Ages but were apparently a tiny minority ruling over unrelated people--the Bulgarian language is Slavic (closely related to Serbian) but probably the Slavs absorbed remnants of earlier populations in the area (Thracians, Romans, etc.).

Bulgarian, Macedonian, Albanian, and Romanian all share the feature of having the definite article as a suffix at the end of a noun--Bulgarian and Macedonian are very similar but Albanian and Romanian are only distantly related languages, so the common feature (not found in Greek or Serbian) is probably inherited from an earlier population in the region...which would suggest that when the Slavs invaded they didn't kill off all the earlier inhabitants but intermarried with them.

I think the Bulgarians were very good at protecting the Jews of Bulgaria proper, but not so good at protecting the Jews of the areas they annexed during the war (parts of northern Greece and southern Yugoslavia).

Albanian is a Balkan language like that of ancient Thrace. It is a distinct language group like Romance, German or Baltic languages. Romanian is a Romance language, derived from Latin. It is the language of the Romanized Thracians and Dacians, as well as of the Roman soldiers who were settled there after the conquest of Dacia. Romanians has a lot of Slavic loan words and probably some Balkan loan words. All the Balkan languages form a sprachbund. (I did not wiki Romanian. I know Romanians and studied Latin with one.)

Ravi Zacharias, a Christian apologist, says that Islam is a political movement masquerading as a religion.

Albanian is hard to sort out. It is obviously an Indo-European language as the words for the numbrs show, but whether it is derived from ancient Illyrian (spoken in the area of modern Albania) or from a language of the Balkan interior is hard to say. Thracian seems to have no modern descendant (unless it is the ancestor of Albanian). At one point large numbers of Albanian speakers spread into Greece--they were Greek Orthodox and in the 19th-century much of the Greek countryside was still Albanian-speaking. In 1980 I was in a village in central Greece and was told by another American that she had had a conversation with an old lady who, after exchanging basic greetings in Greek, told her, "That's all the Greek I know--do you speak Albanian?" The village formerly had an Albanian name but the name has been changed back to the name it had in antiquity (Thisbe--modern Thisvi).

Romanian is definitely derived from Latin. The language of the Vlachs (Balkan shepherds) is very similar. There was another Romance language formerly spoken in Dalmatia but the last speaker died in 1898.

The Romanian for "yes" is "da" which is a Slavic loanword...at least it is the same as the word for "yes" in some of the Slavic languages.

Half of America voted for Bummer, are they all Jews too? Then why do you point fingers at Joooo’s? Hmmmm?

I wasn't pointing any fingers at Jews, just idiots that are motivated by liberalism and blinded by it. In this case, Jews who think they can make peace with the Islamonuts, and are moved to that position by liberal idiocy. They are just a small subgroup in the larger idiot group. Idiots come in all nationalities and religions. But in Israel's situation, as the poster was saying, the liberals are suicidal.

You are correct. But they did save 50,000 which is a heck of a lot better than most of Europe with the exception of the Danes.

Bulgaria is beautiful and also it has a lot of history and I think a lot of Jewish history as well.

Bulgaria is between Greece and Turkey, both popular tourist destinations. Surely you can find something scenic in Bulgaria.

Or maybe not.

Humorous comment about Israelis wanting to vacation in greener lands. Same reason the Muslims want to take over Europe via demographics. People in arid regions covet the land of people in wet and agriculturally productive regions. Plus more wildlife to hunt in such places.

I am Jewish and I’m just saying.....

As a fellow Jew I will beg to differ with you about a few terms you used here. You stated:

Same reason the Muslims want to take over Europe via demographics. People in arid regions covet the land of people in wet and agriculturally productive regions. Plus more wildlife to hunt in such places.

In your statement you say, “...Muslims want to take over Europe...”. Israelis want to VACATION in other lands, not take over and your second statement: “People in Arid lands COVET the land...”. Israelis do not “covet” greener lands. The opposite is true. All the Israelis want is a parcel of land to survive in and thrive. And thrive they have. They have transformed that arid, hot land into a greener place. Just look at satellite images. You can see her borders just on the contrast between the brown areas of Jordan, Egypt, Syria, West Bank and even green Lebanon. Muslims ARE taking over more “advanced” societies in the West, this is true but Israelis go to places like Bulgaria for a vacation in order to get a respite from the hot, almost waterless land bombarded from Gaza and threatened on all fronts. Please try to see the differences. Thanks.

I agree with you completely. Israelis want a respite from their arid region so they vacation in greener lands. Muslims move to greener Europe, Canada, America in an effort to overwhelm them via demographics. Plus unconsciously they dislike their arid and desert birthplaces. I have been to Israel and I know Israelis are always trying to make Israel greener via landscaping, via drip irrigation and farming. Israel looks green from satellite while next door Gaza looks brown though it has the same coastal climate with the same 23” rain each year which is a decent amount
The harshness of Allah, Muhammad, Koran reflects the harshness of the Arabian desert where it was born. Where cruel despots are the norm
