Facebook users in Washington state will have something else to brag about to their online friends: that they registered to vote on Facebook.

The secretary of state’s office said Tuesday it will have an application on its Facebook page that allows residents to register to vote and then “like” the application and recommend it to their friends. It’s expected to launch as early as next week.

WA State gives drivers' licenses to illegal aliens who come to this state first, get a drivers' license and move onto other states. There must be addresses that are used for anyone who wants to get a license here . I have read reports that police officers, all over the country, stop illegals and find that they are all carrying WA state licenses.

No opportunity for fraud here. None, whatsoever. Brilliant idea. It should spread to all 50 States. /BIG TIME SARCASM.

With the way FB keeps track of everything, you’d be insane to undertake such an offer.

Fricken libs never tire of cheating. Conservatives need to start becoming radical and beat these bastards back into submission instead of the other way around.

Interesting.

I have a facebook account in a northeastern state. I list the school I graduated from, the large company I work at and even the city of the place where I work. I post comments on my city as well as my home town and have several friends that sent me friend requests based on my employer and school.

Yet I’ve never been to that state and do not work at that company nor in the city it is in.

I created the account so I can post with impunity on political articles that use your facebook account to let you post.

I wonder if I may be able to vote in that state. Maybe I need to set up an account in Washington.

WA State to unveil voter registration on Facebook

Well that won't result in any voter fraud!

/sarc

Actually, conservatives from everywhere should register and do the people of Washington a favor and throw out the potheads running that state.

Incredible.

Sam Reed, Secretary of State, is a Republican.

Just yesterday, I received a campaign flyer from my Republican state senator.

He's supporting gay marriage and brags about the editorial support he's received from the Hard Left Seattle Times.

Why don't Democrats ever betray their party principles like Republicans do?

Re: “Wondering if I can vote in Washington”

We vote by mail here in Washington, so they’ll probably send you an absentee ballot.

Just joking - please don’t try - only Conservatives will be arrested for voter fraud.

Our Secretary of State, by the way, is a Republican!

I was thinking that they will probably try to spread this to Texas. Obama announced yesterday that he believes that Texas is a SWING state.

Can you imagine the identity theft that this would open you up to? You have to agree to allow them to access your personal information.

I think that the real idea is to use drivers’ licenses that have been issued to illegals and vote for them. It appears that there are groups who facilitate the issuing of licenses to illegals in this state, provide the address and help passing the licensing test. These groups probably retain copies of the licenses, as well.

I know.

I lived in Seattle for 45 years until I moved here last summer. ;-)

In order to get a Washington driver's license you need several proofs of residency in the state, but here is my experience of trying to get a driver's license.

I moved to Washington for a new job and like a law abiding couple, my wife and I went to the DMV with our old licenses and what I thought was enough proof of residency. Unfortunately, a contract on a house, insurance contract for the house, car insurance cards listing the same address, and military records showing that address as your residence weren't enough.

In the line next to me were a steady stream of people that couldn't speak english that didn't have any trouble getting a license with a pay stub and a bank statement sent to an address that was essentially the shanty town that the farmer houses his berry pickers in. I don't know if they were registered to vote as well, but I wouldn't be surprised.

This is only the beginning of the problem. Illegals have so little fear of Washington State helping the feds that more often than not illegals use their actual names on their driver's licenses. The state doesn't even check to see how many times they have been deported or what their criminal background is. Murder, rape, fugitive, smuggler, drug trafficker, no problem. Here is your new license.

There are no real Republicans in WA State. The local R’s in my area, all support the unions because they claim that the unions are ready to vote R. They even supported the SEIU contracts, you know the ones that Gregoire refused to fund in order to balance the budget in 2008? Five new SEIU branches sued Gregoire and the state for not funding their contracts and the court said that the legislature could not be forced to fund the contracts if the money was not there. The legislature funded the contracts anyway and our local Rs supported it.

They are also supporting the Obama crony capitalist project, the Gateway Pacific Coal Terminal, and sat on the stage with members of the ILWU in support of the project. The unions then distributed pictures of the Republicans with the ILWU, as if they thought it was joke. This project is every bit as tied to the Obama administration as Solyndra and the local Republicans are supporting it. Heck, Patty Murray tacked funding for the project onto the transportation bill, and still local Republicans don’t see the connection.

Yep, that is not unusual. When we moved, my daughter’s license was up for renewal at the same time, so she changed the address and had the license sent to our P.O. Box because we do not have mail delivery at our house. The Post Office refused to deliver the license, the DMV sent it back to the post office, still the Post Office refused to put it in the PO Box, saying that licenses couldn’t be delivered to PO Boxes. My daughter went back to the DMV and they printed up a license and handed it to her. The DMV also called the Post Office and told them that it was not up to them to decide whether or not to deliver the mail. So, she ended up with two licenses.

Of course, illegals can get their licenses delivered anywhere.

Oh, and when I first went to get my WA license, there were Vietnamese or Thai people there, taking the test through a translator. No would ever know if they answered the questions or the translator was answering them.

If you think that’s great, you should see the mail-in ballots. When I get mine in October, I’m thinking of selling them on ebay. Of course, the union shop steward will want to come and ‘help’ the workers fill out their ballots.

OOoh, I’ve always wanted to vote in Washington!

What a great idea!
All Spanish speaking non-illegal aliens should get together and rent "Vote in WA" buses for a day trip to WA. All can use the same address and utility bill.

See how long it takes the idiots to figure it out, and how they devise a way to apply selective violation enforcement.
