Gramps needs to upgrade to a bigger caliber, and range time. Gun control means 2 hands.
While I’m extremely impressed by his calm demeanor, I can’t help but think that a 45 Kimber Ultra Carry might have meant less discharge of ammo.
You must be a kid.
In the old days, NOBODY used two hands on a handgun. In fact, people were taught to shoot like they did in a duel 200 years ago. Stand sideways, one eye closed, shoot one handed, cock before firing...and when the gun recoils you bend your elbow to allow the gun to rise above your head, You cocked as you lowered your arm for the next shot and fired as soon as the sights lined up on target.
I knew some clown would pen this common quip.
Bigger Caliber? He's in his 70's and probably struggles enough to keep his pants up with a belt without the weight of a .45 hanging on it.
Range time? He didn't even break the front windows? The dirt bags were pretty wholey when they got to the hospital. I'd say his aim was true. Buy the way, did you notice his tactical approach from behind the guy while he patiently advanced? I'd say he performed suberbly.
At many LEO qualifications, you have to qualify with both hands shooting "one-handed". You know why? A lot of tactical situations don't allow a good stance, proper cover, stationary range type shooting. He shot the perps, while moving and with one hand. He waited for the right opportunity to get the jump on them. I don't see any room for constuctive criticism here. He had enough range time to get the job done.
Very few people are ambidextrous.... He hit what he aimed at.
