“We know what your first strike will be and we promise you a big surprise,” said Hassan Nasrallah Wednesday night in Beirut. “The most important weapons we fought with in the July war (of 2006) were from Syria, not only in Lebanon but also in the Gaza Strip. They forced more than a million settlers to stay in bunkers and frighten Tel Aviv. Nasrallah added that the Americans are now trying to break of Syria as they did Iraq.

I don’t think he knows where Israel’s first strike will be.

Because he thinks it will be Lebanon.

I’m pretty sure it will be in Tehran.

He’s waving the Arab Nationalist card:

“Israel is rejoicing today because the pillars of the Syrian Army were hit. That’s what Israel wants - that Syria won’t have a strong army, only a police force,” Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah told supporters in Beirut Wednesday via video feed.

Nasrallah, who addressed the crowd to commemorate the 6th anniversary of the Second Lebanon War, pointed out the ties between his organization and the Syrian regime and praised the top Syrian officials who were killed in Wednesday’s blast in Damascus for their support of the Palestinians.

He mentioned Damscus’ support of Hezbollah during the war. “In the war, the most valuable weapons we had in our possession were from Syria. The missiles we used in the Second Lebanon War were made in Syria. And it’s not only in Lebanon but in Gaza as well.” Where did these missiles come from? The Saudi regime? The Egyptian regime? These missiles are from Syria.”

Nasrallah referred directly to the top Syrian officials who were killed, Defense Minister Daoud Rajha and his deputy Assef Shawkat. “When Gaza had nothing to eat Syria sent missiles and food. Rajha and Shawkat (symbolize) the Syria which helped the resistance in Palestine. While other Arab regimes blocked (the transfer) of food and donations to Gaza, it was Syria that sent food and weapons to Gaza and took a chance. This is the Syria of Bashar Assad, this is the Syria of the shahid leaders. We denounce this blow which only serves the interests of the enemy.”

“These shahids were our comrades in arms, in the resistance and in our struggle against the Israeli enemy. The Syrian army has many leaders which can shatter their enemies’ hopes,” claimed Nasrallah, while calling for political negotiations. “The solution can only come from dialogue, and we need to hurry up to get it going,” the sheikh said.

The guy is delusional. He can wave that card all he wants, but the reality is that Sunnis don’t want to be ruled by infidels, whether they are in the minority or the majority. (And to Sunnis, anyone non-Sunni is an infidel). I guess it goes with the territory - Shiites started out as delusional martyrs convinced that Muhammad’s blood descendants had direct line to Allah, and should have become caliphs instead of those of Muhammad’s unrelated warlord companions who actually did. Maybe they can convince Sunnis they’re not heretics/apostates by directing their hostility towards some external enemy like Israel or Uncle Sam. Right. When pigs fly...

I see a link between the 2 bombings today. I see Iran egging on Israel to respond. I see Iran wanting to start the next ME war.

Hizballah leader crows...

A better way to write that headline would be:

"Hizballah leader oinks..."

War is coming—only question is when. The ball is in Israel’s court now. Iran needs the war to rally her people, and keep them from tossing out the rulers. They believe that Allah will save them and that the whole of the Umma will come to their aid—along with Russia and China. they believe they will win with a weak USA and Europe. Hitler said “staring a war is like entering a dark room” you don’t know what will happen.
They may start something and see it spin out of control fast. Things could turn out several ways—They might win if Obama does nothing or joins Iran in her war on Israel. The leftist UN may do something. It could go nuke fast and leave the Middle East with a whole lot less people. When it happens look to see $10 a gallon Gas and a return to the draft. That’s my prediction. What’s yours???

If Israel sees war coming they will get in the first punch. The last time they waited was 1973 and it almost cost them everything.
