MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota, July 18, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Target is now selling greeting cards for gay ‘marriages,’ as of the middle of June, adding to their previous support for the homosexual agenda.
The cards, produced by Carlton Cards, include phrases like “Mr. & Mr.” and “Two very special women, one very special love.”
“Target is focused on diversity and inclusivity,” spokesperson for Target Molly Snyder said, adding that they offer “wedding cards relevant for everyone,” including lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender couples.
Target faced some backlash from homosexual political groups in 2010 after they gave $150,000 to MN Forward, a political group that supported Tom Emmer, the pro-life, pro-marriage Republican candidate for governor of Minnesota.
However, Target has been supporting gay pride events in Minneapolis for a number of years, and in May sold gay pride t-shirts and gave the proceeds to the Family Equality Council, a homosexual political advocacy group.
After the MN Forward flap, the company also vowed to donate $500,000 to the homosexualist cause. However, Target’s advocacy has not satisfied some gay activists.
Last week the retail company was criticized by homosexualist activists for choosing not to sell an album by R&B singer Frank Ocean, who recently came out as homosexual. The company said their decision was simply because the album was being sold on ITunes for a week before it would be released in stores.
Why stop at one perversion? Who are we to judge? What consenting adults do is none of our business...but their filthy, sinful habits are thrust at us by places that expect us to spend our money. Their agenda is shoved down our throats, demanding we not only tolerate their shamefulness but that we embrace it and celebrate it. And it won't stop with homosexuality. We've already had heterosexual promiscuity shoved down our throats. Now we're on to gay sex. Next will be all sorts of perverse lifestyles and actions. We've opened the Pandora's box and it can't be put back.
I was invited to a lesbian wedding once (coworker). I tossed the invite right into the trash. Somehow I can’t imagine these cards being big sellers outside of San Fran and the upper northeast.
When a business sells a product at a loss to entice customers into its stores, hoping they will buy other, normally priced items, the cheap product is called a “loss leader”.
So what Target obviously needs is a descriptive phrase to describe the stocking of a product solely to be pseudo trendy, and to get free publicity, even though little if any of that product sells.
As an important axiom to this, the “trendy loss” product much be as cheap as possible to produce, but with very high margin (price) (like greeting cards), so if any are sold to dimwits, it will pay for itself. So the chain in effect gets free advertising and the appearance of being trendy, with the minimal risk of some otherwise low value shelf space.
Thus things like greeting cards fit the bill perfectly.
It should be noted that this does not demonstrate any real support for homosexuals, just incredible corporate cynicism, like giving their executives their usual year end bonuses, “in the name of” some cancer stricken child in another country, that gets nothing out of the deal.
Target is dead to this household. Let the homosexual families make up the difference in Target’s bottom line, as they look for ways to offend normal families. After all, a whole 1.7% of the population is afflicted with the mental illness of homosexuality.
In my community:
Target refuses to allow the Boy Scouts to raise money on their property. Walmart welcomes them with open arms.
Target: It's called a "holiday tree". At Walmart and Dollar Tree they use the word "Christmas" on their "holiday" products.
At Target religious books are mostly Islamic, Hindu and Budda reading material. Normally there is very little or nothing on Christianity. At Walmart and the Dollar Tree you see The Holy Bible and other Christian books along with books by David Limbaugh, Bill Orelly, Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh and other books.
Target refuses the Salvation Army Christmas bell ringer. Walmart welcomes them with open arms.
Target refuses Girl Scout cookies sales on their property. Walmart welcomes them with open arms.
Is there any doubt behind the reasoning behind those liberals who protested against a Walmart Super Store and their protest signs were huge Target Logos.
Support Walmart, Dollar Tree and Dunkin Donuts. They have conservative tilts.
Targets, JC Penny, Starbucks, AARP support democrats and liberal causes.
Targets has always been banned from this household. They’ve always been the liberal preference over Walmart.
These people are supporters of gay cards and liberal policies.
So when’s somebody going to put hands on the rim and turn the Bullseye into a goatse?
I can state, in all honesty, that I NEVER shop in Target, Penny’s, Starbucks, etc.
I DO occasionally eat in a Chic-Fil-A due to the conspicuous patriotism and religiosity of that chain’s owners.
I have a business partner who had a male homosexual waiter advertise his availability one day to him as we dined in a local restaurant.
I sent my friend one of those cards the other day with the forged signature of the server. I've been running for my life ever since, and if you don't hear anything more from me you'll know that .........................
When one considers the evil of homosexual behavior and the fact that practioners ingest fecal matter in this act of coupling it should make normal human beings puke!
Just thinking that what these sick people are doing: shoving one’s penis up another’s rectum is disgusting.
The additional fact that these ‘queers’ commit practically all of the serial killings should prove that their mind is diseased by their sexual activities.
There used to be a middlebrow restaurant chain called "Cooker." I ate there once in a while, but it seemed like everytime I did I got hit on by a gay waiter. (No idea why...I look like an old GI Joe that got hit by a lawnmower...just ask my wife.) It was a joke with my wife for a bit, but after a couple times it got tedious and I quit eating there. It's good to know that the tribe of icky gay waiters has not diminished.

Add Office Depot (supporting Lady Gaga’s pro-homosexual foundation), Sears (selling porn), and Penney’s (pictures of same sex couples in ads) to your list. For that matter, Kraft, Nabisco, and Home Depot have also been pandering to gays.
I’m going to save all kinds of dough from not shopping with these businesses.
These sick freaks can have their stores and cater to whomever they wish, but they will never see another dime from me.

Well, I might make just one exception.
My daughter is going through a very nasty divorce. When it’s final, I might buy a dozen of those cards, put my then ex-soninlaw’s return address on the envelopes and mail them to his coworkers at a local police dept. He could never prove who did it, but he will always know it was me. LOL
I am going to start referring to stores such as Target, Penny’s as “Cornholio stores”. Hey, let them feel their new branding.

I liked your lead-off comment. I would ask, though, that you and others drop references to “gay sex” and call it what it used to be called in the OP’s day: “queer sex.” It just seems more appropriate to call what it is. It’s not “gay”; it’s odd, i.e., “queer.”
