The young man who is in custody after allegedly gunning down 12 people in a mass shooting spree overnight in Aurora, Colorado has been identified as local resident James Holmes, according to federal authorities.

I agree. Too many Freepers these days suffer from kneejerk uninformed postings. A prime example was Romney’s response to the “monster” comment the other day. Suddenly he was pansy because he didn’t agree with the lady and then take it up a notch to “anti-Amercian socialist communist dictator monster”.
Romney did exactly the right thing, he handles it with class and ended up looking Presidential. If he followed some of the other Freeper advice, he would have looked like a moron and handed Obama a prime campaign commercial.
Freepers need to take 10+ seconds to think about what they are going to post, similar to when you are sending out a work email, and contemplate their words.
The word “automatic” should appear in between Assualt and Rifle to make it “accurate”.
Robin Meade kept repeating “automatic assault weapon” this morning...

I disagree with some of you points, but I would like to add to them ‘the internet’. So many psycopaths get validated on the internet by faceless people either joking around with them or living through their threats. The internet has created a very hostile and provoking group of insane people.
Our "Leaders" don't think anymore, they just react.
I saw the movie last night...SPOILERS about the scene you mentioned........
Yes there is a scene where they drag the rich out of there homes and then they perform mock trials giving them the choice of either exile or death. The scene is very reminiscent of the scene in Schindler’s List with the clearing of the ghetto, when the Nazi’s dragged the Jews out into the streets while throwing their stuff out into the street. If you know that scene then this scene in Batman parallels it perfectly.
Trust me though, this movie does not portray the OWS crowd in a good light, one could say it makes them look like fools as the story unfolds.
President Barack Obama, who was notified of the shooting on Friday morning by his homeland security adviser, John Brennan, urged Americans to “stand together” with the people of Aurora in the hours and days to come.
“Michelle and I are shocked and saddened by the horrific and tragic shooting in Colorado. Federal and local law enforcement are still responding, and my administration will do everything that we can to support the people of Aurora in this extraordinarily difficult time,” Obama said in a statement.
“As we do when confronted by moments of darkness and challenge, we must now come together as one American family,” he added.

Good Morning America must read DU because they just reported the same thing. ‘..they found a Jim Holmes in Colorado who is party of the Tea Party...’ It is all over Facebook now, I’ve seen at least a dozen posts about a ‘tea party type’. One recent one said: “It’s been reported several times he had ties to The Tea Party and how many people would you like that group to kill before we tie it to their hatred and violence?”
They set that story line quickly.
I feel sorry for this poor Jim Holmes who isn’t the shooter being tied to this.
High School class of 2000 - too old, if the reports that the shooter is 24 are accurate.
The suspect is a 24-year old.
Possibly a different James Holmes.
