we buy our tickets online with fandango, and print them ourselves. then you don’t wait in line, you just hand to the guy who tells you which theater. now, a midnight showing on opening day? there might still be a line but theoretically you have you ticket you go on in and sit through all the blather before the previews.

The opening that we went to, everyone had purchased tickets on-line or ahead, somehow, and the announced theater time was for the first theater, and the lines started filling up several hours ahead, the tickets were not for any specific theater, they just started filling them on a first come basis. This was one of those mega theaters, I don’t even know how many screenings they were doing, but it was a lot more than four or five. The theater was actually in Canada. We don’t have any of those mega theaters around here.
