The big thing about BPD patients is they refuse to believe their diagnosis. They just walk away from it.

Not always. An ex girlfriend of mine had BPD. She not only believed it, she was proud of it. And... it worked to get her what she wanted. She could do anything and blame the 'disease'.

AND...she was proud of those impulsive acts, as well.

Agree with what you say. Not at all unusual for patients with personality disorders to take pride in the condition, and as you say, skip personal responsibility and blame the disorder. But some, like narcissists, don’t do this and would never view themselves or their behavior as being flawed in any way.
