An Arapahoe County Court judge has granted a request to seal the case against James Holmes, the 24-year-old shooter who killed 12 and wounded 50 during a screening last night of "The Dark Knight Rises."
The motion, filed in Arapahoe County court, asks for the records in the case to be sealed, including search warrants, affidavits, orders and the "case file."
... disclosure of the court records would be "contrary to public interest" and "could jeopardize the ongoing investigation."

A) Who made this request? locals? state? fed?
B) If this request was made on Friday, who's to trust any information that's been out since the request?
C) If all the records are sealed, who is the evidence limited to? that should have been part of the ruling.
D) I've looked elsewhere for this news, and haven't seen it. Is the news of this seal posted elsewhere?

I suspect this will get pulled also. Not background to the shooter, but gut wrenching audio of the actual response. So many brave men and women responding in harms way. Don’t forget that LE responding in “Active Shooter” mode....they don’t wait for backup to go in....extremely dangerous work.

You’ve only seen news of the case being Sealed here on FR? Me, too, but I don’t look anywhere else.
If we’re the only ones who know the case has been sealed, THAT NEEDS TO CHANGE.
Either that, or the judge is trying to maintain an “uncontaminated” jury pool.

I could be wrong but I don’t see this as anything particularly unusual in high profile case like this with an on-going investigation. The cops probably don’t want the media to follow them around as they issue search warrants and interview witnesses as they are putting their case together.

I guess you never heard of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC)? The FISC was created specifically to enable secret investigations, secret trials, and it also permits the suspension of habeus corpus rights even for US citizens.
And do you know that there are many here on FR who believe Mike Adams to be a fool and bigtime Lib simply because he believes in natural remedies and organic foods?-lol- Yes, I remember long ago putting up links by Mike and folks would give me a hard time about it, but one doesn't have to be a lib to lub natural ways to get well (usually cheaper, better for you in the long run, and you don't have to drive and wait at the doctor's office either) and good wholesome food (nothing wrong with being a preppy these days as well). :) Now I'm waiting to see if the Health Ranger comes out for life.. have you seen him do so?
Sounds ‘bout right to me - and I LIKE conspiracy theory (as a hobby...).
What bothers me is sealing the case that early - within hours - denies us the facts for analysis we need to decide if it’s going to happen again, or a one-time ‘lone wolf’.

That would be comforting to know if that was the rationale.
Holmes is being called a "suspect". The media never used kid gloves in accusing Zimmerman of MURDER.
I say waterboard Holmes. He gunned down dozens of people and left his apartment boobytrapped with explosives. That's a ticking timebomb situation.

My first thought was he was tied to someone. The media
ran with the fake tea party “Holmes” was to buy them
time to cover something else up. This has charged the
anti-gun crowd up.
FWIW, there was talk of a second or an accomplice by early investigators. I suspect authorities might have wanted things sealed so they had better opportunity to control unknown aspects. If another player was walking around loose, they wouldn’t want emerging evidence by others to tip off other adversaries.
