Justice Department probes Pennsylvania voter ID law

The Department of Justice is investigating whether Pennsylvania's new voter identification law discriminates against minorities, according to a letter released on Monday.

In a step toward a possible federal lawsuit under the Voting Rights Act, the Justice Department sent a letter to Pennsylvania Secretary of the Commonwealth Carol Aichele asking for data on the state's registered voters.

Passed in 1965 during the peak of the civil rights era, the Voting Rights Act bans rules that make it more difficult for minorities to vote.

The Justice Department will analyze the Pennsylvania data to determine if voters who lack proper ID under the new law are disproportionally black or Hispanic.

If the DOJ’s intent was anything other than sowing chaos these “investigations” would have been under way long ago.

The Supreme Court has already ruled on voter ID. Is this law different from Indiana’s?

Your governor needs to have thejudge removed from the bench by cutting off his paycheck.I know he cant but that would spread the word quick to these screw judges.

PA’s voter ID law was patterned exactly after Indiana’s BECAUSE the Indiana law had already been ruled constitutional. We shall see;

the soap box is trampled
if the ballot box is broke
that leaves the cartridge box.

And Congress sleeps. Anyone hear anything more about the contempt charges? And I don’t think that we ever will.

Yes, that evaporated quicker than a puddle in Texas in July. As I expected it would.

Oberstgruppenführer Heinrich Himmler oops, Eric Holder and his Dept of 'Just Us' won't give up will he.

First he goes after states covered by the '65 Voting Rights Act under bull___ premises. Now he's going after any state that wants to keep its Voting System HONEST with an ID law. Even if said state prevails in its own state court system.

How very .... 'Aryan' of him.

[You'd think he'd have better things to do now. Like order more Paper Shredders to destroy evidence. Or run more guns to Mexico with a new plan, like by cargo ship to Baja California.]

They will time it so that an injunction will be issued a few days before the election, leaving no time to challenge it. BamBam MUST win PA, and to win he needs no impediment to getting as many votes as he can out of Philadelphia.

You need ID to register to vote. Why wouldn’t you be able to get a photo ID to vote? Dems are just dishonest.
