I found the closest Chick-Fil-A today and took my grandson there for lunch. I was astonished at their level of service. Way beyond what I expected from a fast food place. I will go back.

I never heard of them until this. Now I'm a huge supporter. There's one within driving distance of the grocery store. I didn't even know it was there.

It would be a good idea to start family nights at Chic Fil A. Maybe extended families can use this to get together more often. Maybe all relatives can meet on a certain night. It would strengthen the family that some times gets too busy to see each other.

Oh, and remember to find pro-family organizations to donate to. I'm sure they'd appreciate it. What's happening to Chic Fil A could be used to start a national "Fight Back Aganist the Thought Police" campaign.

I lived for about seventeen years off in Germany (military service and contractor work later), so when I returned in 2010....there were a couple of surprises for me.

One of the bigger surprises was that franchise operations weren’t all clean, neat and tidy....like I was used to in the 1980s. I walked into a number of BK’s, Dairy Queens, Wendys, etc....and just found them a step, and even two steps below what I considered acceptable. They just weren’t clean. I felt like I was in a foreign country.

So after walking around for two years in the US...I can truthfully say this. Between the McDonalds and Chick-Fil-A operations....they are only franchise units that I can continually arrive at...and find in clean condition. Doesn’t matter where you go....people seem to care, and it does makes a difference in getting you to come back.

I’ve been to Chick Fil A’s as far north as Erie, PA, all down the south including Charlotte, NC, to Savannah, GA, all the way to Tampa, FL.

And one thing that I can say is that they’ve definitely instilled their southern hospitality (since they are based in Atlanta) in all of their locations. Didn’t matter if it was in Erie or Tampa, each request was granted with “My pleasure” and a big smile.

It’s hard to fault some of the other franchises because any time you get to the level of having over 33,000 locations, like McDonalds, it’s difficult to instill a culture.

But Chick Fil A has done a fantastic job. I’m glad you’ve discovered it - and their food is phenomenal as well. Try the Chick-n-Minis for breakfast!
