A multi-colored symbol of inclusiveness flapped in the breeze above city hall Thursday night, when several dozen people turned out for the raising of the rainbow flag in celebration of the citys seventh-annual Gay Pride Week.
I pray we begin this week in celebration knowing that each of us is special and knowing that God loves each one of us, the Rev. Janyce Jackson, a member of Newarks LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning) Advisory Commission, said during a ceremony in the city hall rotunda.

Julien Neals, the citys business administrator, described the pride he felt in the city when Neals, who previously served as municipal court judge, officiated at Newarks first civil union. Surprisingly, he also spoke out against the word tolerance, since the term, although a byword in the gay rights movement, suggests that straights should merely put up with those whose orientations openly differ from their own.
If you cant recognize people for what they are, then we have no hope, Neals said. This shows we have hope.

Sexual deviancy is all the rage in this country these days. I wonder what’s up with that.
Good grief, another one falls like a domino. I wonder why disabled people or vegetarians don’t have a special flag to fly with the American flag?
“Questioning”?
WTF?
I pray we begin this week in celebration knowing that each of us is special and knowing that God loves each one of us,

You Ma’am are no Rev.
Yes God loves us all, but He doesn’t love the actions of those that thwart His will. He said “if a man lay with a man, IT IS AN ABOMINATION”. HE WILLS THEIR REPENTANCE, not your acceptance of their sins. Reverends are supposed to save souls, not aide in their destruction. This so called Rev. will answer to God for what she is doing.
It's a wonder that city even has the time for this crap, considering how dangerous and poorly managed the place is.
The new alphabet: LGBTQ. 5 down 21 to go.
I didnt realize that Newark was doing so well. Well enough to have an office of sexual deviancy advisory committee. I guess after solving their high auto theft rate, ghetto crime problem, high unemployment, layoffs and what not they can afford to have 12 city workers (not several dozen, count them in the picture) stand around not doing anything but looking like there is support for this flag. My guess is after you drove everyone else out of the city of Newark you will take what you can get.
What did Roy G. Biv ever do to deserve this?
They left out "Experimenting". LGBTQE. Gotta get up to that 15+ % of the population, you know.
“LGBTQE.”
I’d like to buy a vowel...
And then they all dropped their pants and bent-over and gave the homosexual salute to their flag.
How about a placard with this:
The wicked freely strut about
When what is vile
Is honored among men. Psalm 12:8
I’m curious about it too. Does the homosexual voting block matter that much in places like Newark where blacks are very strong constituency? Black Americans are mostly against gay marriage and the gay agenda.

“Does the homosexual voting block matter that much in places like Newark where blacks are very strong constituency?”
No, I think Booker wants the perverts to revitalize Newark the way they did in Asbury Park ten years ago.
Oh wait, that never happened; in fact, they’re demolishing the half-finished hulks of the buildings they started when people were stupid enough to believe that deviants would spend a lot of money to live a block away from predatory crackheads.
My local paper described a group from Occupy with a similar term... "almost two dozen'... I suspect they were counting the media people who showed up...
