The mother of Connor Stevens, one of five Occupy Cleveland members accused of attempting to bomb a Cleveland-area bridge on April 30, called for the death of the FBI informant in the case at a protest this morning. “People are infuriated by sexual predators: put ‘em away, kill ‘em, how dare we have sexual predators! You know what that informant is? A sexual predator, only it’s under the guise of the FBI,” said Gail Stevens, discussing the case with reporters in Akron.
Ms. Stevens assigned blame for the alleged bomb plot to the FBI, claiming her son Connor – who is 20 years old – was entrapped. Stevens went on to say, “None of them have a car! None of them have a driver’s license! But that criminal did. He drove them around, he took care of them, he worked with them 12 hours a day. That is a predator, and that’s what happened in this case. They were taken in by a predator. To me, even worse than a sexual predator.”
All five of the defendants in the case are adult males. Anthony Hayne, who pleaded guilty in today’s court appearance, is 35 years old.
As reported by ABC 5, “Supporters of the five held signs Wednesday that read ‘Stop FBI Entrapment’ and ‘Justice Don’t Be Blind.’ The mother of one defendant says the suspects were manipulated by an FBI informant.” In the story featuring the interview with Ms. Stevens, ABC 5 makes no mention of Occupy Cleveland although the alleged bomb-plotters were heavily involved with the far-left protest group.

I think her quote means something to the effect of - everyone everywhere is freaked out about sexual predators, to the point some want to kill them. But here we have a sex predator as an FBI informant.
And if that is her point then she is correct (among other reasons why informants many times backfire).
This is why I’m beginning to believe in collective punishment.
All those enabling “mommas” that say their (recently shot while committing a violent crime) boys were “good boys” and accessories (like Gail Stevens) need to be locked up along with their broods.

No, she’s not saying that. She’s saying the FBI informant is a predator and as bad as a sexual predator because he got her darling adult baby boy’s confidence and then turned him.

If Connor Stevens mother had bothered to gain her son's trust and admiration, he might not be in the pokey today. There's a reason that the FBI’s tactics worked. Maybe the young man wanted to please someone he admired — like a father or a mother.
These guys were just begging to be set up and the feds were more than happy to oblige.
I’m not a fan of this kind of crap on the part of the feds but I’m also no fan of stupid.
