Vacation observations while in New Hampshire
personal oberservation | 7/25/2012 | Self

Posted on 07/25/2012 1:21:41 PM PDT by shoedog

We flew out from Kansas City to Boston and travelled up to New Hampshire (Alton Bay) for a vacation. I know Romney has place up in Wolfsboro so the area would be pro Romney. What was amazing, my wife and girls commented and they aren't that much into politics, was NO Obama signs and just a few bumper stickers even on interstate and roads from the MA state line up to Lake Winnipesaukee. Around a circle of the whole lake, literally NO Obama stickers. I know Manchester and Rochester are where the liberals will be more heavily populated. Not scientific but I think New Hampshire just might have a chance to be a Romney state.

Nothing scientific but if nothing else, definitely not enthusiastic support for Obama.

However..
many zero voters will still vote zero. they just don’t want you to know this time around.

Part of it might be the color complexion of the area — Obama was viewed as acceptable by many white people in 2008 as kind of the token atoning black person in view of America’s long past Negro chattel slave history. But now Obama has shown himself to be more stupid dud than stand up dude and that has grown real old. Obama simply is not selling well to white America any more. And even his majority among black America is getting smaller as he didn’t prove their savior after all.

Have seen very few Obama 12 stickers here in Cleveland, but OTOH, I haven’t seen very many Romney stickers either.

I’d say they’re about equal at this point, but we’re still an eternity away from the election.

That said, Conservatives tend to be a little reluctant to advertise on their cars due to Leftists’ propensity to vandalize anything that slightly challenges their delusions. All in the name of tolerance, of course.

Although true....the true statement is that conservatives don’t advertise horrible candidates like Romney. But I got your point.

Here in Indianapolis, there’s one sticker and sign that predominates over all others

Mourdock

he’s the R / Tea Party candidate that retired old Lugie and is running for Senate

I'm not sure how you got there, but NH1 and especially Rockingham county (basically the south east portion) is the conservative backbone of NH. NH2, basically west of I93 and the far north, is less conservative. I don't go over there much, there might be more Obama signs there.

What about his Dem opponent, Joe Donnelly? He says in his TV ads something about he'll "reach across the aisle" as opposed to Mourdock. I'm just hoping Indiana returns to its senses this November.

Donnelly has a solid Baraqqi voting record, he can’t run from his record in Congress, and there will be a LOT of adverts pointing this out.

I feel pretty good that Indiana will be in the R column for Pres, Gov, and Senate.

As someone who has spent almost his entire life in Massachusetts, other than 4 years in the military,i can second the finding that there are almost no Obama stickers to be seen here.

Hate to say it.

I live in one of the “Reddest” counties in Georgia, maybe the US: Forsyth county, Georgia.

I have not seen ANY Romney stickers or signs. Its kinda disturbing. There are plenty of Conservative stickers, mind you: Gadsden flags, NRA stickers, Newt 2012, old McCain/Palin stickers, etc., but no Romney. Maybe nothing happens until after the Convention?

I have seen a few Obama stickers, though.

And, I have to confess, my attitude towards Romney is similar to my pre-Palin attitude towards McCain “If I have to, I guess.”

I’ve seen the Obama’12 stickers - mostly on Prius’ and Subaru’s - not as many as in ‘08 though....I think I’ve seen maybe 2 Romney stickers (Drive around 1,000 per week all over the North East)

True, it’s interesting. However, many people prefer to avoid vandalism and abstain from placing political stickers on their vehicle.

“many zero voters will still vote zero. they just don’t want you to know this time around.”

Lotta truth to that. I’ve seen only one Obama 2012 bumper sticker in and around the People’s Republic of Boulder Colorado.
