I’ve read BS about Holmes using grant money to buy weapons. I’m very familiar with grant money spending as I sell scientific equipment to universities. Unless the Univ. of Colorado issued a purchase order to the gun shop for an AR15 after going out for competitive bids (unless Holmes wrote up a sole source justification!), there is no way that grant money could be used for weapons. Of course, he did use his personal money which probably came from some grad student paycheck, but that is still personal money even though it had a gubmint origin.

You should research the term fungible. Because the very nature of money is indeed "fungible" by the Gub'ment giving him a grant to spend on research his own money was free to spend on guns.

Same argument goes for Gub'ment money going to Planned Parenthood. Even if they earmark the money for everything BUT Abortions its still allows them to spend "other" money they would've needed elsewhere (that the Gub'ment money went towards)on abortions.
