AUSTIN Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst says he never felt the need to seek the support of key tea party leaders nationwide because, Ive been focused on Texans.
Asked about former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and other grassroots darlings coming to Dallas and The Woodlands this week to campaign for Ted Cruz, his Republican opponent for U.S. Senate, Dewhurst said, Ive never gone and asked for their help.

The RINO establishment behind DewCrist is counting on all his big $$ to mislead and misinform voters on his record (that he’s a Conservative when he fights tooth and nail to halt the Conservative agenda) and to lie about Cruz’s. That’s the biggest danger.
I agree that in the past, a rich candidate like Dewpiss
might have a great advantage.
However, with the help of Conservative Superpacs, the money
advantage has been narrowed quite dramatically.
It is very close to being a level playing field. Something
most conservative candidates never had in the past.
I believe a level playing field or close to it gives Cruz
the advantage. I guess we shall see very soon.
Hopefully something good will come out of Texas. The runoff is this coming Tuesday.
Like Indiana, you have a great candidate in Cruz.
I wish we had two great, credible candidates to run against
Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker.
No credible candidate has emerged. I am surprised at that.
Until we get a credible candidate, we are stuck.
If we do, Alexander might be the easier pick-up, as Corker
is quite wealthy. Alexander is not.
Your next Texas senator will affect all of us.
We wish you success in sending Cruz to the senate.
I think you may wish to direct your comments to the Texas FReepers. Like you, I am also in Tennessee and am saddened at what passes for our two Senators (with Lamar! being the worst of the two). Corker scared off all viable opposition this year because of his $$ (from both parties — Bredesen might’ve chosen to have a go, but even he didn’t bother). Lamar! is up again in ‘14, and hopefully he will choose to retire, but he badly needs to go.
My apologies. I thought you were from Texas.
If Cruz beats Dewpiss, it will show that money alone won’t
insure a RINO keeps their senate seat.
A Cruz win in Texas will show that money alone won’t win it.
Maybe then we will get some credible candidates to run here in Tn
Got in the mail today a flyer calling Cruz two-faced. . .Dewhurst is losing voters by going all-out nuclear evil on Cruz. That alone tells me all I need to know about Dewhurst-—a slimy politician that luvs character assassination and would fit in well with The Messiah and his Chicago crew.
