More like:

“I’ll support Bachman. At least she’s not Romney. We cannot afford to run Romney.”

“I’ll support Cain, then. At least he’s not Romney. We cannot afford to run Romney.”

“I’ll support Santorum, then. At least he’s not Romney. We cannot afford to run Romney.”

“I’ll support Gingrich, then. At least he’s not Romney. We cannot afford to run Romney.”

“Well, they chose Romney in spite of good candidates being offered. They will have to live without my vote, since I cannot vote for Romney. Who can I write in?”

At this point, I’m almost hoping Romney wins, if only because his presidency will be a miserable failure - perhaps not Obamaesque in proportions, but miserable nevertheless - and maybe THEN people will see that neither “major” party is worth a pinch of salt. Maybe THEN, the GOP will cease to be a “major” party, and we can get one that’s actually worth something.

Good luck but I made my decision on Romney years ago and there’s simply no point in trying to change my mind.

I have my doubts that the GOP intends to take the white house anyway and I’m not going to waste my vote encouraging the leftward slide of the republicans.

Best to consider this conservative a lost cause radical.

Actually, it’s NOT “rhino”.... it’s RINO which stands for Republican In Name Only.

The problem has become that Conservatives are RINOs now. The GOP does not stand for conservative principles, but progressive ones.

Virginia could be all it takes to sink Romney. If Obama wins Virginia, he’s re-elected.

Not so. Romney has brought Michigan and New Hampshire into play. That’s a total of 20 EVs; VA only has 13. Now, they’re saying there is a chance Romney can even win PA. Virginia is not the “king maker” anymore.

On the west coast, the Greens have their own candidate, Jill Stein. Most of the west coast people never heard of Virgil Goode. He doesn’t have a national presence.

There is a lot of resentment on the part of the West Coast Greens toward Obama’s favoritism toward the unions over the Green agenda. On the West Coast, the Greens feel that Obama has not only abandoned them, he is working against them by pushing for coal terminals along the Oregon and Washington Coasts. The Democrats are having a tough time holding the party together with the conflicting messages.

I don’t think the GOP intends to win this election, if they had they would have chosen anyone other than Romney. The man comes off as just plain dumb, not to mention unlikable. Maybe that was their intention after all, seems as Obama will do their work for them with Amnesty. One has to wonder if they intentionally threw the last one by running Mccain. It was pretty clear from the start that everyone hated him, yet they went with him anyway. And the dumb public gets all excited when in actuallity it makes no difference. Progressives are both democrats and republicans, in case no one has noticed.

Should Goode pull enough votes from Romney that Obama stays in office, Goode will go down in history with a reputation blacker than Benedict Arnold.

Explain how if there aren't enough votes to pick a party nominee, it's possible to pick a candidate who can win a national election.

IOW, wouldn't it be easier, NOT easy but easier, and a LOT better to take back the GOP than continue to be a spoiler third party?

Fact, none of it will improve by people who sit at computers. It starts with those who go to precinct meetings and get elected as delegates to state and national conventions.

How long do you think "another party worth something" would exist before people split?

How many times do you think what you are advocating has been tried in just the past 40 years?

Hint---it isn't a new idea!!!!!!!

No. Virgil Goode is almost a nobody. He's a two bit congresscritter like Bob Barr.

3rd parties are nothing more than protest votes which have been losers, are losers, and always will be losers. Those unhappy with the parties and actually want to change things can enact change through the R's or D's. It's starts locally, takes a long time to do, and most people don't have the patience or logistical ability to do it concentrating on the presidential races where we have the least control. Be leaders, don't wait to be lead.

I used to think we needed to form “The Conservative Party of America” but I checked out the Constitution Party. I think that would be the way to go. Of course it would take 20 years before it would have a chance of winning a major Election, but we have to start somewhere I say 2013 is a good starting place. Right now WE HAVE TO GET THE KENYAN, MARXIST MUSLIM OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE.

Well, let’s see: This dumb, unlikeable guy is worth about $250 Million. How much do you make each week? Come on cujo, you might not like Romney dude, and I’m not crazy about him myself, but DUMB he is NOT!!! Enjoy your weekend.

I think Goode is a fine man but he presents a HUGE risk to Romney, especially in VA where he is very well known.

"A third party candidate is the choice of a vindictive, hopeless fool."

I guess that means you will be voting socialist/Marxist this election. It boggles the mind that some people think voting socialist/Marxist somehow advances conservatism. Oh well.
