Maybe he did accomplish something important to him. Instead of starving on the outside, with no health coverage, he will be fed regularly and get free healthcare.
If they really want to accomplish something they need to find a few crazy friends and “go out in a blaze of glory”.

They should take the lesson of John Brown and the raid on Harpers Ferry to heart. Sure, they lost and were killed, but at least they actually did something first.
