idunno but it’ll be really cool when this “numbered list” craze passes.
I appreciated your mention of those hymn lyrics. Realizing how lost I was before I received Christ as my Savior and Lord on August 18, 1962 one of my favorite hymns is “At Calvary.”
My predicament is described in the first stanza:
Years I spent in vanity and pride,
Caring not my Lord was crucified;
Knowing not it was for me He died at Calvary.
And the last stanza describes my feelings now:
Oh, the love that drew Salvation’s plan.
Oh, the Grace that brought it down to man.
Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span at Calvary.
And the chorus goes:
Mercy there was great and Grace was free.
Pardon there was multiplied to me.
There my burdened soul found liberty,
at Calvary.
Thank you for your posting.
P.S. Robert Robinson was one of the Heroes of the Faith that the late Chuck Colson admired very much.
We need to let the mind of Christ observe us fully so that his consciousness might transform us into the people that he is planning us to be.
