Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel's announcement that "Chick-fil-A values are not Chicago values" and opposition to the fast food franchise's expansion there because of CEO Dan Cathy's anti-gay politics really ruffled some feathers.
Lauren Silich, the owner of Chicago's sole Chick-fil-A, is asking Emanuel to have a sit down to iron things out.
The Chicago Tribune reports:
[Silich] invited Emanuel to meet her, her husband and management staff at her restaurant. The mayor's office had no immediate response. In an interview today, Silich addressed Emanuel's comments. "I get it," Silich said in an interview. "I’m from here as well."
"I just want people to know there’s a local face to this controversy," she added. "We’re not a corporate face. We love our city."
In a letter sent to the media, Silich also said that she and her staff are committed "serving all of our guests with honor, dignity and respect." She went on to highlight Chick-fil-A's immediate economic impact: "We alone created 97 jobs this past year and our passion is building leaders for future generations, regardless of sexual orientation or beliefs."
Will Emanuel meet with Silich or will he be a scaredy cat. (What, did you think I'd go with chicken?)

Right, Cathy’s politics are not “anti-gay”; he has a right to stick to traditional values and not jump on the PC band wagon in America.
Right, and it is long overdue. The gay agenda has opened up a can of worms and awakened a sleeping giant with this one.

I had breakfast and lunch today a Chick fil a, it helps that one is about 1/2 mile from my house... I probably average eating there at least 5 times a week, lately I have been working hard to raise my average.
When was this? Had I known I would have driven over there.
I might swing by a little later to see if these idiots are still out there. Maybe they can protest the new Ashley Furniture Store next door to the CFL because they use innocent Trees to make their products.
In & Out is across the street. They should protest them because they print Biblical verse on their Cups and Wrappers.

I’ve only been there a few time recently. What is the good greasy satisfying sandwich? Do you put mayo on it? Relish? What I’ve had seemed kinda dry and not very exiting.
I only go to fast food for guilty pleasure, I don’t want healthy fast food.
Just wait till Wednesday. I've put aside 2-3 hours just in case. (and I hope I have to use them)

These protesters are 'dead in the water' on this. The faster they shut up and go home, the better off they'll be. That said, I hope they don't shut up and don't go home. From what I heard earlier, even the beyotches on The View were sticking up for C-F-A.
Go for the Spicey Deluxe chicken sandwich with a side of waffle cut fries. If you want mustard, mayo, or one of the chicken strip sauces, their condiments are available separately, the Chick-fil-A mayo is good with the waffle fries, actually. They don’t put condiments on the sandwiches in the kitchen, not sure why. The chicken strip trays and nugget trays are good as well. Actual chicken breast, good flavor and texture, unlike the reconstituted chicken shapes sold in many places. The classic Chick-fil-A sandwich is a fried chciken breast with dill pickle slices on a buttered, toasted bun with nothing else. Some apparently don’t care for the simplicity of that, others love it because the tart dill slices contrast with the slightly sweet crust on the chicken. To each his own. The first Chick-fil-A I ever encountered was a storefront walkup with no interior dining in Greensboro, NC in the late seventies. It was good then, still is, hasn’t changed much except expanding their menu and having nice, freestanding stores.
With shits like those pictured, I can understand while obama is not worried about being re-elected. obama won’t even have to kill them when their usefulness to him is over. They are so stupid that they will starve to death after he pulls whoever he has handfeeding them away.

There is no chick in our area. I am going to call the one in the next state and buy the next lucky order in the cash register their meal via credit card. Maybe even twice.
