I believe this demonstrates what we conservatives have been thinking is wrong with Romney: He should be saying "destroy it" rather than saying "fix it".

Romney believes that by not calling for dismantling government, the media will go easy on him.

Romney is no conservative. He will never favor anything that reduces the scope and size of government.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) should use its power for good, not evil, Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney told supporters Thursday night

Romney is another GOP Big Government fan - their only quarrel with the Democrats is over the specific agenda they want government to follow as it intrudes on the rights of private citizens and businesses.

Now why would he say “get rid of it” when Nixon created it . . . ?

Romney says EPA should be force of good, not evil (Stupid - he should be saying get rid of it)

Meanwhile, back in the jungle:

Stupid Romney should be saying it would be good to get rid of the evil EPA.

At least he's talking about the EPA. It is a monster; makes it's own rules.

Its been dead in the water since February of 2011. It hasn’t even made it to committee despite over 100 co sponsors.

... He should be saying "destroy it" rather than saying "fix it".

If he says "destroy it" no one that worships the earth will consider him. If he says "fix it" people that want to destroy it get mad at him.

Can't we get Bambi out of office first and work from there?

WHY, Mitt, why?

Don’t you know we distrust gubmint’s claim of ‘forces of good, instead of evil’?

Romney is a liberal, his instincts are still liberal- even when pretending otherwise for the campaign

Romney has no intention of eliminating the EPA.

It would be easy.

Every state has their own version of the EPA. Eliminate the federal goliath and let every state safeguard their own environments.

Let’s have no illusions about Mitt. We are voting him in to vote Obooboo out. Mitt is a middle of the road big govt republican. He is not going to cut the size of govt. He will simply re-arrange the deck chairs on the USS Titanic.

He’s just staying true to form; I don’t know why people are surprised.

Romney in 2003, about a Massachusetts coal plant:

“I will not create jobs or hold jobs that kill people.”

“I believe the EPA has to see itself as being responsible for our air and water......”

The EPA has lost all credibility because of its abuse of power.

The news media would LOVE for Willard to get all 'controversial' at this point.

Whether he's Big Government or not, he'd be flat stupid to offer the MSM ammunition like that to slam him with at this point.

The checks and balances of constitutional government doesn’t apply to the agencies, they are a fourth branch of government and a law unto themselves.

There is no Bill of Rights to limit the power of the regulators. They are kings in business casual. Once they decide to come after you, you are toast. They have an unlimited budget and all the time in the world to bankrupt you.
