Skip to comments.Et tu, Cheney? Cheney disses Sarah Palin on ‘This Week’; Media now fawns over Cheney
Posted on 07/29/2012 8:12:13 AM PDT by nhwingut
As if former Vice President Dick Cheney is ever anything but candid. Thats just the medias way of now swooning over Dick Cheney, a man members of the media demonized for years. Their unhinged hatred of Sarah Palin over-rides all that, you see. [SNIP] When the media swoons over Dick Cheney, you know there is an ulterior motive. You know, like a distraction from Obamas abysmal record. They are water-carriers to the end!

Sorry, never really trusted Dick Cheney...one thing I will say in his favor though...he is an able man and competent administrator unlike almost everyone in this current administration.
Cheney has been recruited by his daughter into the movement to destroy marriage. He is now an implacable enemy of Christian morality and has gone over to the dark side. Sad to watch.
the first interview after the dick gets heart surgery and the promo is about citizen Sarah? A complete setup by the commies to diss Sarah Palin, forget all the other things they could have talked about.
In the article, Cheney says that she was unqualified to be VP-—and, Obama was qualified to be President? Dick, why don’t you save it for Obama? STFU! I like Cheney, but he is, after all, part of the GOP elite by virtue of his long service. And, when push comes to shove, the elite are going to circle the wagons around their own kind.
He supported Kay Bailey Hutchison - that says it all.
Obama has such vast executive experience. NOT. The GOP elite will do anything to preserve their power. When firebrands such as Palin and Bachmann stray off the reservation, they get the “kook” brand. I would like Romney to choose Palin, but he’ll probably pick a Pawlenty. Sad.
Cheney is sour grapes mad because his GOP-e comrade Dewhurst is going down on Tuesday.
The more I hear stuff like this, the more I like Palin.
She is obviously doing something right.
These knuckleheads are all big-government globalists who are just as hostile to many of the principles we conservatives hold dear as the ACLU is. 'Eff them all.
Cheney’s saying what he thinks will help Romney.
There’s a hardcore political plan behind this statement.
Cheney’s a hardcore political guy, unless he’s changed.
I agree with him...she was picked to run in a sack race with a one legged man.
The Dick without question certainly attacked Gov Sarah Palin today, and personally! If anybody dares to suggest otherwise, I have no time for them.
Has The Dick not heard the saying...if you have nothing nice to say about someone, say nothing?
Not sure about Dick`s spiritual condition, you would think someone that just had a heart transplant would be thinking from a point of gratitude, and would have his Lord on his mind.
But here he is attacking who would be is Sister in Christ, if he is in fact one of The Lord`s.
I prayed a lot for this man over the years, certainly do not regret it, but am very disappointed.
If Gov Palin does not get a personal call from Liz Cheney, offering her support, then I will have to also cross her off my list. In fact I think this statement by Dick warrants a public comment from Liz saying.....That`s my fathers opinion, I love my father but we disagree on this.
Liz has been less supportive of the Gov than I have appreciated, so this may not be coming.
Here is the exact quote:
“I like Governor Palin. I’ve met her. I know her. She —attractive candidate. But based on her background, she’d only been governor for, what, two years? I don’/t think she passed that test ... of being ready to take over. And I think that was a mistake.”
As usual, the MSM is trying to divide and conquer and set conservatives against each other — and again as usual, they are succeeding.
Sour grapes from Cheney over impending Dewhurst loss as well as providing cover to Team Romney for banning Sarah from the convention.
Mr. RomneyCARE helped himself.
She held elected office for close to 20 years! Or are you suggesting that it doesn`t count because it was in Alaska? She also had business experience.
Tim Pawlenty, Rob Portman,Paul Ryan, Christie etc, do not have more experience than Gov Palin, they are not more qualified to be President, so what in heck are you arguing?
Cheney personally and unnecessarily attacked Gov Palin today, there is no defense against it.
Democrats are the ones that believe small town values etc do not measure up to city folks values, that those of us from small towns are just hicks that do not understand things as they do.
When you make this argument you join the other side.
Agreed, Cheney is an able administrator. He is not conservative - certainly not on social issues, and questionably so on fiscal matters.
I can handle having a government misspend money. I can’t handle having our government endorse men butt-plugging other men & holding it up as admirable.
If someone cannot recognize homosexuality as perverse, violating natural law and God’s revealed law, then I cannot trust their judgment. They may be good at book-keeping, but I don’t want them as a leader. They lack the vision to lead anything.
If you read his full quote you will see that he did not attack her. He simply gave his opinion that she was not ready for the job.
“The more I hear stuff like this, the more I like Palin.”
Feel the same way 100%.
I’ve always liked Cheney. Can only suggest that when he got the heart transplant they gave him Mike Wallace’s heart.
Okay, Wallace died a few weeks after Cheney’s heart transplant, but he didn’t miss it.
Before you get a heart transplant make sure you get a good conservative heart. I’ve already got dibs on Vlad the Impaler.
Wow, thanks for the object lesson in how the media plays “conservative” blogs like a fiddle.
I really do have a serious question for you. As all can see here, this was a thread about Cheney and Palin. You, of course, tried to make it about Romney.
You have already accused me of giving money to Romney, which is an absolute lie. You will not find me anywhere during the primaries where I supported him. Since I am in Kalifornia, I may not vote for him unless I think the popular vote is going to be very close and it would be important to do so. Obama must be stopped.
You still haven’t apologized to me for the lies you have told about me. I am quite certain you will never man up and do so because that is just who you are.
Do you really believe all the spamming you do on all the threads about Romney (and now on this thread about Cheney/Palin) will actually change anyone’s mind here? Most look at you obsessiveness as being a mental problem and quite annoying when we read through threads.
Is there anyone around you who could do an intervention and have you committed for your own safety?
Well I always liked Dick but what he should have said was that picking Juan Mcstain for President was a mistake.
Having lived in Alaska for several years, I like Governor Palin. A LOT.
But I popped in here knowing that the usual Palin sycophants would be all up in arms.
They are simply the Right’s version of Obama supporters.
I’m capable of liking and respecting both Palin AND Cheney.
RINO neocon, homo-marriage loving, war profiteer Cheney should crawl back under his rock.
The GOP nominating Bush/Cheney was a big mistake - twice.
Are you saying that Cheney has had a change of heart?
Being the president or his VP is not rocket science. Heck, it isn’t even pre-Algebra I. What it does require is having common sense, being able to follow the law of the land, and protect and defend the US Constitution.
People who have lived and worked inside the DC beltway have warped minds.
"doug from upland, on his knees ,he's my loyal man
He supports DEATH PANELS and TARP, and for ME he stalks and spams."
At least he didn’t call her an embarrassment, as many liberals have done.
A woman who cleaned out corruption in her own political party, got large energy producers to ease the tax burden on the citizens of her state, was the only reason the 2008 election was as close as it was, left office because frivolous lawsuits would have taken her away from her duties and rendered her ineffective, and who bore an inconvenient child is an embarrassment?
Please, embarrass us!
My question was answered. You are more than just an annoyance. You have a mental problem.
I don’t particularly like Romney but we are stuck with him. Would have loved to see Newt/Bachmann.
Diogenesis has become more than annoying. He is now spamming on threads that do not even involve Romney. He really does need to be outed as someone here from the RAT underground.
The Left is dancing in the streets too loudly and conservatives are breaking out the torches and pitchforks for their once “favorite” Vice President over this despicable act for Mitt Romney not to be putting the screws to Dick to make nice—and convincingly so—with the lovely Guv.
2) You respond to criticism of Mitt Romney
OR EVEN THE FEAR THAT THERE MIGHT BE CRITICISM
of Mr. RomneyCARE with your own dirty tricks,
your spamming ad hominem, your ,
your own continued stalking,
your tiring petulant lies, and defamation, and
BS-put downs about FReeRepublic.
IF YOU REALLY HATE CONSERVATIVE OPINION,
then perhaps it is of note that
you are projecting again.
YOU NEED HELP. And, run, don't walk.
If any of you want to post this response after he puts up more spam, have at it. We must fight these Obama tactics.
None of the Bushites have anything good to say about Gov. Palin.
Quiet frankly I have not much to say good about the bushes. when I see people posting bush nostalgia I want to puke. bush gave us Obama!
You’re right, Romney, I feel it in my gut, is going to go with a Pawlenty type, i.e., Pawlenty himself-—makes me wonder if he really wants to win.
Insulting a major figure in the GOP and (by extension) her supporters. Freaking brilliant.
doug from upland behavior proves he works with George Soros and Mitt Romney.
The left has just lifted the fatwa on Dick Cheney.
They love and respect him across the board at the moment.
He attacked her, get real! Hey, his own daughter Liz knew it was serious enough that she had to make a statement saying that Gov Palin was indeed qualified.
