The recent assault on the National Security Five is only the most recent example of the fear our elites have about discussing and understanding radical Islamists.
When an orchestrated assault is launched on the right to ask questions in an effort to stop members of Congress from even inquiring about a topic you know the fix is in.
The intensity of the attack on Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) as well as Republican Reps. Trent Franks of Arizona, Louie Gohmert of Texas, Tom Rooney of Florida and Lynn Westmoreland of Georgia is a reminder of how desperate our elites are to avoid this discussion. Yet consider this rush to silence questions in light of our history of unpleasant surprises during the Cold War.
Given all the painful things we learn about people every day and the surprises that shock even the experts (the head of the FBI anti-spy effort was a Russian spy, for example), you have to wonder why people would aggressively assert we shouldnt ask about national security concerns.
Remember the shock in 2001 when we learned that FBI agent Robert Hanssen had been spying for 22 years first for the Soviet Union and then the Russian Federation. This disaster came just seven years after the 1994 arrest of Aldrich Ames, a CIA counterintelligence officer who was a Soviet spy for eight years.

God bless Newt!
I still love MB. Look at who attacked her.
Exactly right, Michelle is one of the few jewels of the GOP.
(excerpt)
“The level of self-deception necessary to misunderstand the Muslim Brotherhood verges on a psychosis.
The organizations motto is Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Quran is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.
Our elites discount all these words and refuse to take them seriously.”
If any Congressman refuses to even investigate a political arm of a religious movement (Islam), and the incestuous relationship between that political arm that the current administration , they are guilty of knowingly dereliction of
duty to protect the Consititution. They should be removed.
If it looks like it..
Smells like it..
and draws flies ..
It’s what it is ..!!
Thanks to political correctness, those who would like to see the end of the American republic can be much more open about what they are working for, even going as far as holding very powerful positions in our government. Like, for example, the presidency.
I voted for Newt in my primary and this sort of thinking is the reason why. Outstanding Newt!

She sends Dems into a tizzy and smokes out the cowardly establishment RINOs.
This reminds me of fall 2008 when on Hardball she said the media should investigate congress (isn't that their job?) and Matthews and Powell and Pelosi went into a tizzy over it. They said it was McCarthey again. They didnt say that when the media investigated Nixon, or even Libby.
Is this about money? Are these folks on the payroll of wealthy Arabs? Are they being paid to look the other way?
Seeing her meely-mouthed “conservative” opponent and this hubbub, sparked my first donation to her this campaign period.
She’ll win again... The people won’t be fooled for at least another 8 years.
Me too! How long do you think it will be before Romney comes out with anything on this theme?
Safe bet: There won’t be anything from Romney himself on it while he is still on his foreign trip.
John Bolton has spoken out on Bachmann’s side. He is a top advisor to Romney, if that means anything.
We will see.
The local ABC News affiliate (KSTP channel 5) went around to her district and did man-on-the-street interviews to get their reaction to her suggestion that congress should conduct this investigation and they all supported her. Men and women, young and old, all said they agreed with her. I was simultaneously shocked and gratified that the press would play the piece since we all know it didn’t turn out the way they hoped it would.
RINOs are muslifying themselves into wuss land. And the RINOBAMA scandal is coming soon. They will be infected by that misery.
I lost respect for MB while she ran for President, particularly things she said or allowed others(unchallenged by her) to say about Gov Palin
I also believe she stretched the truth about her 19 or so adopted foster children. Charity is supposed to be in secret
.
I would not vote for her for any office
Very intelligent article. I’d be interested to know what Sarah Palin thinks about it.
About three and a half minutes past NEVER! ;-)

McCain,Boehner, Rubio, Lindsey Graham, and Rogers have all failed this country miserably. Even Cantor punted.
