Eighteen months ago, Ted Cruz was a starry-eyed Texas Republican with long-shot hopes of becoming a United States senator. On Tuesday, the former state solicitor general looks headed to an unlikely runoff victory over Lt. Governor David Dewhurst, win that would defy the power of the state’s GOP establishment.

I think the intensity factor is very, very strong here.

I’m sick of Dewhurst’s over the top, negative attack ads. I’m voting for Cruz just to stick it to Dewhurst. If that’s the man’s idea of campaigning, I don’t want to take a chance on him representing our state in the Senate.
Ted Cruz and the other conservative turks across the country recognize the old USA needs a makeover from both the Rinos, Obama and his Democrat Party. Fact is Texas voters know that the RINOs, Obama and the Democrat Party are truly the destroyers of our freedom, liberty and opportunity!!! When Cruz wins tomorrow evening, handily, you are looking at the next elected Texas senator, period!!! When Texas casts its vote on November 6, 2012, Obama will lose the state by ten to fifteen points and take scores of dead beat, anti-American Democrats with him, thank God!!!

Oh, they see it. But Conservatism is not part of the GOP's agenda. It's all about helping Soros and friends form a NWO run by them with the little people managed at the individual level by state fostered islam.
They want control, and the Tea Party just messed up their plans to rule ze verld.
It means a little more fear in the hearts of the entrenched GOPe that they may not be safe in those trenches any more.

Heh! I was wondering the same thing... He is a Republican media stand-in for Conservative thought. Unfortunately, he has had very few thoughts that are representative of a Conservative.

Yes, the mention of George Will as a conservative was humorous at best.
Actually the article did mention Sarah (3rd line down).
And he’s proving to be a great closer. He outraised Dewhurst more than 3-1 during the first third of the month, spurred Sarah Palin and DeMint to stump in the state for him last Friday and never lost the confidence of the anti-tax Club For Growth, which has spent $5.5 million on independent expenditures to help him win.
It didn't mention Mark Levin or Sean Hannity either
