Newt Responds to Romney Palestinian Comment

Via POLITICO's Ginger Gibson, who's with Newt Gingrich in Arlington, Va., the ex-candidate defended Mitt Romney's comments in Israel from earlier today and pressed the issue further:

At a Romney campaign-organized event in Arlington, Va., Newt Gingrich spent most of the time talking about everything but the economy.

Asked about Mitt Romney’s remarks at an Israeli fundraiser that drew rebuke from Palestinian officials, Gingrich said there was evidence that culture was causing a disparity in wealth not only in the Middle East, but around the world.

“The United Nations camps have been terrorist training grounds. And I think that they're a disaster and have taught socialism. There is no private property, there is no future, there is no small business, there is no hope, there is no rule of law, and I think you have to start with that,” Gingrich said.

He pointed to a number of nations that have prospered in areas where neighboring nations have not.

“I find it fascinating that nobody wants to ask the question, why is Hong Kong prosperous? Why is Singapore prosperous? Why is Israel prosperous? Why can't we apply this same prosperity to Gaza? Why can't we apply this same prosperity to the West Bank?” Gingrich said.

Adding South Korea to the list of places that have prospered, Gingrich said none of the nations are “welfare states.”

It's easy. Just get rid of the Pali's. Then watch the milk and honey flow.

Tom Bethell wrote a chapter or two on this subject in “The Noblest Triumph: Property and Prosperity Through the Ages.”

Short version: no rule of law, no private property, why would anyone exert the effort to create wealth?

“The United Nations camps have been terrorist training grounds...” Gingrich said.

We would be ten points ahead and conservatives would be planning the Convention... if only Newt hadn't been screwed by reince preibus. We would also be able to severely damage the progressive wing of the gop.

I remember when Reagan was kicking ass and the liberals were on the run. CNN's Crossfire... they had a panel of 5 liberal dims... and Novak. They choked and howled and whined and cried and then stated that they were not “liberal”. Liberal was a bad word... even ted kennedy ran from it. karl marx once used the term progressive... so they have morphed into that term.

Did you know that marx and engels had a communist newspaper in London in 1893 and it was named "Forward"? There are no coincidences. I say that the rats are all communists. It appears that far more republicans than we would like to admit to... are socialists.

I wonder if any copies can be found archived somewhere. This would be great fodder for the elections.

Here is an article and link. I have seen a picture of the newspaper but I can’t find it on the net. There are numerous articles about Forward on all of the search engines... even Mao used it.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/inside-politics/2012/apr/30/new-obama-slogan-has-long-ties-marxism-socialism/

The Obama campaign apparently didn’t look backwards into history when selecting its new campaign slogan, “Forward” — a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism.

Many Communist and radical publications and entities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries had the name “Forward!” or its foreign cognates. Wikipedia has an entire section called “Forward (generic name of socialist publications).”

“The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications,” the online encyclopedia explains.

The slogan “Forward!” reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism.

The Obama campaign released its new campaign slogan Monday in a 7-minute video. The title card has simply the word “Forward” with the “O” having the familiar Obama logo from 2008. It will be played at rallies this weekend that mark the Obama re-election campaign’s official beginning.

There have been at least two radical-left publications named “Vorwaerts” (the German word for “Forward”). One was the daily newspaper of the Social Democratic Party of Germany whose writers included Friedrich Engels and Leon Trotsky. It still publishes as the organ of Germany’s SDP, though that party has changed considerably since World War II. Another was the 1844 biweekly reader of the Communist League. Karl Marx, Engels and Mikhail Bakunin are among the names associated with that publication.

East Germany named its Army soccer club ASK Vorwaerts Berlin (later FC Vorwaerts Frankfort).

Vladimir Lenin founded the publication “Vpered” (the Russian word for “forward”) in 1905. Soviet propaganda film-maker Dziga Vertov made a documentary whose title is sometimes translated as “Forward, Soviet” (though also and more literally as “Stride, Soviet”).

Conservative critics of the Obama administration have noted numerous ties to radicalism and socialists throughout Mr. Obama’s history, from his first political campaign being launched from the living room of two former Weather Underground members, to appointing as green jobs czar Van Jones, a self-described communist.

This goes alot deeper than the usual Israel vs Palestine shenanigans. Liberals do not believe that culture makes a difference, all cultures are equivalent to them.

So God forbid you say that a nation that engages in human sacrifice, or creates slaves of its citizens, or is ruled by an oppresive bronze age theocracy, is somehow inferior to Western Democracy. Every culture is equally valid, except for America and Israel, they are evil oppressors.

Newt was the first candidate to mention making Jerusalem the capitol of Israel. Mitt has followed Newt on this topic.

Good for Newt. I hope Mitt has this man speak on the campaign trail as much as possible. He’s a comforting voice of reason as well as a national treasure.
