The Roman Catholic Church, for instance, opposes gay marriage. It also operates Catholic Charities, the largest private social service provider in the country. As a matter of faith, Catholics aim to grow their ranks, help more people in need and add new parishes over time. ... But as Chick-fil-A found out, mayors will fight efforts as mundane as selling chicken if people at the helm also oppose gay marriage. Why should Catholics or Catholic Charities not be targeted on the same basis?

The link sends you to a redirect, and then you have to get past the ad, and it takes you to the Washington Post article. Sorry so complicated.

Does anyone else here think this whole issue is being ginned up, sort of like the Mohammad cartoons?
First Obama ‘comes out’ in favor of gay marriage.
Next, that CNN talking head Anderson Cooper announced he was gay, like we didn’t already know that. Next, some quote from an obscure religious magazine somehow gets widespread play?
Finally, the DNC announces that they are going to be supporting gay marriage. They are trying to ignite a war on gays like their war on women.

Of course.

Massachusetts is Gay Ground Zero.

Gov. Deval Patrick, as well as being being a corrupt progressive hack in the tradition of his pal Obama, is an avid gay supporter. He appointed a gay justice who "wed" her partner to the Supreme Court, and marched with his family in the Boston "gay pride" parade along with his gay daughter. Seems likely that Mumbles Menino was following the script as directed from DC via the governor's office.

The gross display planned for Friday is an even greater assault on Christianity. Many Christians consider Friday a holy day, since it is the day Our Lord was crucified.

it’d be a shame if people were to accidentally vomit on the perverts

if they aren’t buying anything, chik-fil-A should have the cops arrest them for loitering

One of the comments on the Post story excoriates Chick-fil-A for supporting views that are "repugnant to the general public." The comment obviously comes from a gay activist, but I honestly believe these people have convinced themselves that Christian sexual morality is exactly that: repugnant to most people. Frankly, they may be right about that.

I think they deceive themselves about “the general public”. Unfortunately, the gay agenda has gotten huge numbers on their side; however, that does not mean there are not equal or greater numbers the other way.
