MASSIVE LINES at Chick-fil-A on “National Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day”
Gateway Pundit ^ | 8-1-2012 | Andrea Ryan

Posted on 08/01/2012 12:18:06 PM PDT by servo1969

Today is “National Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.”

After intolerant and First Amendment-hating Chicago politicians blocked Chick-fil-A from building a restaurant, former Governor Mike Huckabee announced his support for the restaurant chain and its Constitutional right of free speech. He declared today Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.

Allen sent this picture from west county St. Louis.

Allen added: People are standing in line 100+ deep to go inside. The lines go out and around the building. Two lines of drive through cars are around the shopping center.

St. Louisans also came out in huge numbers to show their support for the First Amendment.
The lot was jam-packed…
(Mike took these photos in Chesterfield, Missouri.)

The line goes around the block.

The line of cars wraps all the way around to the main boulevard, where the line still continues.

The surrounding streets and parking lots are packed.

The restaurant is full and the line goes out the door.

Normally, with this crowd volume you would expect short tempers and bedlam. That’s not the case today at Chick-fil-A. While the surrounding restaurant chains are empty, the people in this line are happily making a statement, talking to each other with smiles on their faces. They’re patriots taking a stand against a gross violation of our First Amendment right. And they are doing it in 100 degree temperatures.

Any bets if this will make the MSM tonight?

If you have more photos please send them in!

Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) bought Chick-fil-A for his office staff today.

Here’s a photo from Texas.

Ruth Wendelken sent this from Texas: This is at 11:15 at the Los Colinas Texas Chick-fil-a. Notice the line is three cars wide around the building. The line of foot traffic is huge. Notice the sign of 315 cars served at that time. Now in center line. Its a great day for Freedom of speech. Take that Boston, Chicago and San Francisco!

"Are there going to be any sales figures released?"

I tried to go to Chick-fil-a here in Houston on my lunch break today and the line was so big that cars flowed out into a major street and intersection blocking normal traffic. I would guess that their sales figures for today would be no less than 5 times than usual and would not be surprised if it's 10 times of more.

Mmmmmm, another “hate the Moron” person.

Let me tell you about my primary $$kicking. 1st Sarah, then Herman and then Newt.

I am still recovering against those cuts and bruises. Is mitt my choice? Hell no!

But it is either him or barry. I truly believe barry has been infected w/ evil spirits.

Is Mitt the one I want? Heck no! But I don't believe he has been infected, as least not yet.

He will have 4 years of countering acting barrys commie sh!t.

A LOT can happen in 4 years. Look at our Tea Party, we've kicked some butt.

I'm still waiting for Mitt to pick his VP. I have ABSOLUTELY no idea how I will vote when the time comes.

Nor do I comteplate it. When I get in that booth, I will make up my mind. That's all I can say for now.

That is so amazing!

Wrong side of payday for me, but I will order something online, like cows or some other goody.

I figure money is money!

Thank you for helping them with free advertising. That is very generous!

I too couldn’t have cared less about them years ago but the mroe they got into our faces and wanted special rights due to how thye have their sex then the more I looked at their agenda and how dangerous it was.

i’m sick of these people acting like babies and then thye wonder why many state they have mental problems.

If it is marriage equality then why do they oppose polygamy, or other kind of marriage?

Kiss ins, WTH, first they want a boycott then they now say they’re going to the place, it’s pathetic anc childish.

I’ve talked to a number of people about this and many are like me.
Years ago they were winning the debate by them saying it is their private business and lets keep it likw that but now they want special rights, deploy NAZI tactics on anyone who does not go with their agenda.
Now more and more people are seeing them and getting pissed off with them.

They have become unhinged and their hatred and intoerance is stunning.

I no longer live in the past, neither should you. The past is the past.

Friend, there's much wisdom in the old phrase, "past is prelude".

When it comes to predicting a person's probable character and future behavior, one of the best tools we have, is examining what they've done in their past.

In Mitt's case, his record is one that any liberal Democrat would be proud of. Examine his record and draw from it what you will. I have.

This from chick-fil-a.com:

Aug. 01, 2012 Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day Statement

Attribute to: Steve Robinson, Executive Vice President Marketing

Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day was not created by Chick-fil-A. We appreciate all of our customers and are glad to serve them at any time. Our goal is simple: to provide great food, genuine hospitality and to have a positive influence on all who come into contact with Chick-fil-A.

As a privately held company Chick-fil-A does not comment publically about our sales figures or volume.

Friday could be an interesting day. Supposedly the gays and the rest of the left intend to stage "kiss ins" at many Chick-fil-As.

Like the one they recently staged at the Obama White Hut under Ronald Reagan's picture?

Way to go, keep it up, gays! November is right around the corner, and it's way too late for Obama to escape the gay political connection he so deliberately forged.

>> Just put it in Pierce County where people are a bit more … normal.

>And I'd drive down there from King County …

If we had a Chick-Fil-A here in Pierce County, I would stand by its entrance at lunchtime (after meeting with its manager, of course) with a sign saying "This Black Gay Supports Chick-Fil-A" just to watch the King County "libruls" heads explode. LOL.

I claim bull crap on that statement, as a former "used to believe, now know the facts" gal.

If you were to personally tell me to my face, person to person, face to face, I was the same gal I was @ 24, I would personally kick your a$$.

One arrest of a man who parked his car across the drive-thru. Idiot.

LMAO Crazy fool!

We had some protesters here in Albuquerque, NM. They were chanting and had set up sandwich board type signs telling everyone to enjoy their “hate chicken”. They couldn’t stand the heat outside though and left fairly soon. I think they left before noon.

No kidding. I would love one in Pierce County. I remember when the local Sonic went in near my house and it was crazy for about a month then slacked off.

I just started working not too long ago up in King County with a lot of folks from that county and my oh my..... what a culture shock for me. A little more blue collar down here in Pierce County.
