Some of you asked just what the scene’s like on Chick-fil-A appreciation day in Chicago, home to #ChicagoValues, and the city at the heart of the controversy over Chick-fil-A after our mayor congratulated an alderman in shutting the company out of opening a second location within the city limits.
The line at 12:10pm extended down the city block from the entrance, full of Chicagoans who, it would seem, don’t share Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s definition of “Chicago Values.”
One woman and her friend took up a collection at their office to buy bags of the chicken sandwiches to deliver to an area homeless shelter.
A man just outside held up a collection box to buy lunch for Alderman Moreno’s office. His spiel? “Repay hate with kindness.”
The woman next to me in line brought her elderly mother, an immigrant, to Chick-fil-A after she learned of the Mayor’s antics. She emailed everyone from her church, upset that Christians were being discriminated against. “I told everyone I know,” she said.
In the Chicago suburban location in Schaumburg, IL, a line extended out the doors as well:
In the meantime, a new report from Rebel Pundit reveals that Alderman Moreno may be housing Barack Obama’s campaign office in his own aldermanic office, which would be in violation of several laws.
In addition to kindness, we can repay the hate with a little sunshine on the #ChicagoValues Rahm Emanuel and Alderman Moreno have been pursuing. The spicy chicken sandwich was delicious, btw.

Hey Tomkow props to your fellow Chicago residents
Wheaton certainly isn’t Chicago but it was packed out here in DuPage County. I was amazed by its preparedness as they had constructed tents for outdoor seating and they had a huge amount of workers.
Temp workers perhaps...in any event Rahmbo will claim he spurred employment growth.
I want me some of them “biscuits of hate.”
Next to a Catholic university (downtown campus of Loyola) is only fitting.
Loyola cranks out some amazing doctors. I worked for a couple of them for many years (Wheaton and Aurora). They were both pricks on a personal level but medically, they did a lot of good.
This chick-fil-a revolution is a big f@&$ing deal! ( to paraphrase plugs Biden)
Had lunch at a Chicago area Chick fil A today. The lines (both walk-in and drive through were VERY VERY long. People waiting in line were polite, orderly, friendly, and clean.
If you wonder if mainstream America is anxious for November, just refer to today’s little dry run.
I hope somebody bought Cardinal George a chicken sandwich becuse he took Emanuel to task over his “Chicago Values” stance over the weekend.
Hotlanta Mike,
My college student daughter sent me this pic the other day.
I raised one right....
Lester Maddox. A Democrat chicken restaurant owner.
They keep this up the left is going to get crushed in November...This gay marriage crap really gets people boiling..
Speaking of gay marriage crap, I hope the gays boycott everything. You don't know what they've been touching with their filthy hands. Wish they would stay out of restaurants I go to. Now Obama says he is for gay marriage, of course his hands have been dirty from a long time ago.
