By all early accounts, Gov. Mike Huckabee's "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day" seems like a wild success.
Conservatives are lining up in droves. Former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum is offering his support and urging supporters to visit a restaurant. One Wendy's franchise owner expressed his support for Chick-fil-A at a North Carolina Wendy's.
Chick-fil-A originally incurred a backlash when COO Dan Cathy affirmed in an interview that the company did not support gay marriage.
"We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit," Cathy said.
Some mayors around the country — including Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino — have publicly supported the boycott of Chick-fil-A.
According to its Facebook event page, more than 630,000 people planned to go to Chick-fil-A today.
Many of them took to Twitter and Instagram to document the craziness. As of this writing, there were almost 60,000 Instagram photos tagged with #chickfila.

I bet CFA raises more money today than Obama does all month!
Chick-Fil-A in Ft. Walton Beach on Beal Parkway was so crowded at lunch time I had no time to get in and get a Peach Shake. The inside was standing room only, the line for the drive thru was around the store, across the strip mall parking lot and out into the street.
The police put up cones to stop people from making left turns into the place from a side street because they were blocking traffic on a Beal. Traffic on Beal was backed up for over a mile...........
I’ll go after work and get my shake!........
Wait just a minute here. We’re the party of intolerance! Where are the hateful and angry expressions on people’s faces in these pictures? Where’s the venom? Why are all these intolerant people waiting patiently in line? Where is the abuse being hurled at law-abiding citizens?
Look, people, if this public display of kindness, patience and civility is the best our angry, bigoted, intolerant selves can manage, we’re really going to have to step up our game!
I would never have believed that there was that many conservatives, in CA.
If CFA is as packed with conservatives on Friday as it was today, the activists may decide to pass. They are cowards at heart.

not really a boycott but rather a “buycott” . a boycott only serves to hurt those at the lowest rungs of a corporate entity as they are the first to be layed off . that isn’t loving your brother as your self
