The Senate is likely to assume an even more conservative tenor come January as a crop of insurgent-minded Republicans replace some of the GOP's old guard in the upper chamber.
A transformation within the Republican Party that was first set in motion during the 2010 midterm elections appears set to continue in the Senate, following in the path blazed in the House during this term of Congress.
The goal is not only getting the Republican majority, but getting a conservative majority -- a majority of the Republican majority, said Brendan Steinhauser, the director of state and federal campaigns for FreedomWorks, a group thats worked to elect Tea Party candidates the last two cycles. Good news!!
Proud to be an Indiana resident.
We flushed old Lugie and here comes Mourdock!!
We dont need a lot of Jim DeMint disciples, Lott said in an interview. As soon as they get here, we need to co-opt them.
Trent Lott in anticipation of the large influx of Conservative Congressmen in the 2010 election - I’d imagine he feels even more so about new members of his beloved RINO Senate....
Can't happen soon enough to suit me!
Cool.
“Assume an even more conservative tenor?”
The Senate is controlled by Democrats!
Anyone that would vote a democrat for any federal office “these days” is delusional or politically dyslexic...
I hope and pray so!
Add a third primary target in 2014: McCain retires and announces his support for daughter Megan to replace him.
Whereupon, I will move to Arizona and establish residence...
Hawking up and spitting out a Lugie might be the easy part. He had the advantage of incumbency. Can Mourdock win in the general?
We do need some adults in charge.
Mourdock is running against current Congressman Joe Donnelly who has a solid record of voting for Obama laws.
Donnelly can’t pull off the bullshirt commercials to be a fake conservative because they are hammering him with all the votes he’s made the last 4 years.
I think Mourdock will definitely win, as will Mike Pence for governor and Romney for Pres.
Indiana has had a good run, passed right-to-work and ditch Luger. Indiana is the only “southern” state North of the Mason-Dixon....
Anytime a RINO bites the dust should be cause for celebration.
