By the way, Ronald Reagan was not content with containment or just maintaining the status quo. He was determined to defeat communism no matter how big or how far they had progressed. We must never think the left has progressed too far to roll back, or that it’s too big to fail. We must never give in to defeatism. We shall fight the corrupt collectivist bastards (of both parties) on the seas. We shall fight them on the beaches. We shall fight them on the ground. We shall fight them in the air. We shall never surrender our island of sanity. We are the resistance!!

Although he did not intend it specifically as such, this brilliant article by Daren Jonescu is an inspiring morale booster for current members of the Tea Party and a spectacular recruiting document for new members. I've rarely come across such clear insight explaining the spontaneous founding and righteous (dare I say divinely inspired) purpose of the Tea Party. This is a very remarkable essay that all conservatives should read.

Despite all of Barack Obama's hoopla about "fundamentally transforming" America, the truth of the matter is even scarier than Obama's threatening promise: the fundamental transformation has, to a large extent, already happened. Contemporary society has been gradually undermined, in the strict sense of having had its terrain booby-trapped with moral explosives, over many decades. Obama's promised transformation is merely the paperwork, writing into law what has already been accomplished in culture.

The entire Democratic Party, from the top down, now looks like Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright. The hatred of America is open. The desire to undo American constitutionalism is explicit. And this exposure will only accelerate in the coming months and years, as the left realizes ever more acutely that its days as an accepted political faction are numbered, and it is forced to take increasingly drastic and sudden measures to achieve its brutal aims before the clock runs out.

The days lying ahead of America will often be treacherous and sad. They will require nerves of steel from those who would resist progressivism's desperate last stand. It has become patently clear that the present Republican Party establishment is not up for this fight. Constitutional conservatives must do it themselves, using the GOP apparatus as just one tool. They must remain cool and workmanlike, rebuilding dams faster than the leftist waves can knock them down.

long read, but a good analysis of the epic battle of 'good vs evil' that is and has been our political landscape for a century...

and why the ramping up of the aggression from the left has been happenin...pedal to the metal, as it were, because theyve passed the jump off point...its simply going to have to crash and burn, and itll be up to the survivors to re-instate the Constitutional principles...my .02

overplay their hand and self-destruct. They always do, this is the third time, Wilson then FDR and now Obama. To me this time feels like it’s for all the marbles, of course I was not present for the first two. This time we are facing a revolutionary Marxist communist and many years of preparation by those of like mind. If you don’t identify Romney as one of those of like mind, are you certain you are capable of walking and breathing at the same time? Can we at least hang the obvious commies this time? We can shun the Fabians.

“the left realizes...it’s days are numbered...forced to take increasingly drastic and sudden measures to achieve its brutal aims before the clock runs out”

Examples of this ... the left creating crises that they have to solve (such as financial collapse), obama’s czars, obama saying Congress has not acted so he will, obama’s executive orders, passage of nearly 2,000 pages of ocare citizen control (attempting to deem it passed), nationwide unemployment, a bankrupt nation, and so on.

They do realize their days are short and they are pulling out all the stops to force their evil on us.

And with continued cooperation from the LSM, Spain, soros, third party candidates, and phonied up polls that keep it close enough to steal, I fear massive election fraud on a scale never before seen - then more of the same transforming of America on a much larger scale.

May God have mercy on us.

“Constitutional conservatives must do it themselves,”

What I fear is that many on the “Conservative” side will make the mistake of ignoring the Constitution to get what they perceive as the “right” way. If we don’t follow the Constitution we are doomed to fail and will give the victory to the left’s “progressives” by making it easier to sell their pablum. If I was running things the first thing I would do to prove my bona fides would be to repeal the Patriot Act, which has become a war against the American People. If it isn’t Constitutional it is wrong. I don’t care what the robed ones say.
A tyrant whether, Conservative, Liberal, Christian or Atheist is still a tyrant and should be put down.

The fundamental Achilles of American Conservatism is that rather than identifying themselves as pro-Constitutional Government, they have allowed the media to paint the Conservaticve movement as a potential evangelical Christian theocracy.

Until Conservatives seize control of the argument and re-direct it Constitutionally, we will be playing defense.

There is a deep, abiding need for and love of the Constitutional freedoms in the heart and soul of all Americans. That’s the lesson of the Second Amnedment issue.

64% of Americans think government is on the wrong track.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/mood_of_america/right_direction_or_wrong_track/

The right track is restoration of Constitutional Freedoms and limited Federal Government and more States Rights. That will sell in the soap box and the ballot box and even the jury box.

But let the media define the right track, or how Conservatism can’t get America there because of preoccupation with “social conservative” concerns .....you can forgetaboutit
