Chick-fil-A flap reveals true gay agenda
Washington Times ^ | 8/3/2012 | Jeffrey T. Kuhner

Posted on 08/04/2012 3:40:28 AM PDT by markomalley

The homosexual lobby wants to outlaw Christianity. This is the real meaning behind the uproar over Chick-fil-A. The chicken sandwich franchise has become a lightning rod for the culture war. Liberals despise it; conservatives back it. Supporters of gay marriage want to prevent the Atlanta-based chain from expanding, demanding new restaurant permits be denied.

The reason: Its CEO Dan Cathy opposes same-sex marriage. In an interview with the Baptist Press, Mr. Cathy was asked his views on the issue. He said that he supports the “biblical definition of the family unit.” Meaning — horror of all horrors — that Mr. Cathy believes marriage should be between a man and a woman. That such a common-sense view could be controversial in today’s America shows how far society has fallen.

Anti-Christian activists immediately called for a boycott of Chick-fil-A. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel publicly vilified the chain. He claimed that Chick-fil-A does not share “Chicago values.” Mr. Emanuel said the restaurant was not welcome in the Windy City. Yet, he warmly embraced Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. According to Mr. Emanuel, a Christian family man expressing his private opinion defending traditional marriage is an extremist, while a radical black nationalist and vile anti-Semite is acceptable.

(snip)

The left’s goal is to reduce Christians to permanent second-class citizens. Now they are coming for our freedom of speech. This is Christophobia — the dominant bigotry of our time. Christians unite, before it’s too late.

A lot of us were aware of the true agenda when they had the sodomy laws struck down by imploring to the masses that they just wanted to be left alone and pursue their lovers in private and that they would never presume to try and make traditional marriage less that what it was. LIARS!

Great article by Kuhner which exposes the true agenda of the left. To destroy truth and everything that is pure, innocent, noble and good. Their goal is the total destruction of Christ and the absolute standard of His Word.

As Kuhner notes:

And that is precisely the problem. Mr. Cathy simply expressed his personal view — as a devout Christian — on marriage. For this, progressives want to boycott and if possible economically cripple the company. In other words, Mr. Cathy’s sin — Chick-fil-A’s sin — is that he is a Christian traditionalist in an increasingly pagan country.********

This is nothing new, and they as many before them will fail miserably. His Word is an anvil which has worn out many a hammer.

Normalizing gender confusion seems like such a great idea.

"Leave the theological debate over differences for a different discussion and debate."

That's the point. Christians have allowed themselves to become easy prey for those who are anti-Christ and need to think through how that happened.

Recognizing how you were outmaneuvered and divided by your enemies due to ongoing differences that are small by comparison with what our enemies believe is not a theological discussion or anything of the kind. It's an easily understood example of what has been going on that helps illustrate what we're up against so we can avoid being such easy targets in the future.

Regards

A man cannot have two masters. Traditional churches must make it clear to liberals that they may either be a Christian or a Jew, or they may be a socialist, but they cannot be both.

Christians and Jews both worship God, as the creator, definer, and ultimate authority of the entire universe. Socialists worship a false god they call “mankind”, the totality of men and women, as the only thing of importance in the world or the entire universe. In doing so they inherently disavow a belief in God.

At several times in the Pentateuch of the Bible, men try to pretend that their insignificant existences elevate them to the level of God, and this is almost unique among offenses in how often it invokes the wrath of God.

To this day, men are still at it. And though God made it clear that He will no longer destroy the Earth because of it, He is under no other limits in how He deals with the affront.

So it is the wise man, and the wise church, that steers away from such people.

Someone else gets it... Almost.
The homosexual lobby isn’t the entity seeking to outlaw Christianity. The left is USING the homos as a weapon to do this.

Moronic. Keeping social issues out of the hands of the federal government government is NOT "the road to the guillotine.

WRONG -the damage already done MUST be reversed. Unless there is another revolution the reversal must be done at the level of government it was wrought. Sticking our heads in the sand and hoping things will change will not get the job done -our enemy has chosen the battlefield -retreat is NOT an option.

What the politicians did is blatant religious discrimination. It is fascist and Nazi-like in nature. If you don’t agree with their ideology then you don’t have freedom. This is very much how things started in Germany, with the early attacks on priests and business owners whose beliefs were in contradiction to Hitler’s vision.

“Moronic. Keeping social issues out of the hands of the federal government government is NOT “the road to the guillotine. We’ve done pretty well for over 200 years without having psychotic “progressives” or equally oppressive social conservatives telling us how to view certain aspects of our lives.”

Actually, for most of our history, it was ILLEGAL to commit homosexual acts.

No one is suggesting we have a federal Dept of Bedroom Affairs to monitor all our bedrooms. However, the queers are not interested in privacy. They want to flaunt their perversion everywhere, and demand we approve. Renting out a basement apartment in your house? You can’t refuse a couple of faggots. Own a business taking wedding pictures? You cannot deny service to faggots.

I used to be a military officer. Suppose someone in today’s US military asks you what you think of gay marriage. If you support it, fine! If you oppose it, you could find yourself punished for your lack of tolerance. A military officer who wore a uniform to a Tea Part event would face court-martial. Wear one to a gay pride parade, and the Pentagon will applaud.

What about plural marriages? Those were found to be unconstitutional in the 1800s...yet there is far greater support for polygamy in both the Bible and under natural law than there is for homosexuality.

Fiscal conservatism is based on self restraint - saving, doing without something you want so you can pay for something you need, agreeing to pay your own bills instead of expecting someone else to do it. Fiscal conservatism cannot exist in a populace that knows no self-restraint.

“Anything goes” leads to anarchy, fiscal ruin and God’s judgment. An immoral people will never act fiscally responsible.

I usually enjoy the back-and-forth between FReepers, but not your initial reply to LaserJock.

Why must the first word in your reply be Moronic?

Your arguments here might carry more weight and better engage other FReepers in discussion if you didn't begin your reply by calling someone a moron for his/her viewpoint.

The homosexual lobby wants to outlaw Christianity.

May I suggest the homosexual lobby outlaw Islam first? They believe the same regarding homosexual sex, and there are far fewer of them in the U.S.

May I also suggest they start with the Nation of Islam? Should be fun to watch.

The Gay lobby and the homosexuals can sing their song " WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS " from Queen all they want, but, the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church, at the end of time, we win.
The gay lobby will be the one's who will be ushering in the Anti-Christ.

The thing is ? history has shown us that the more you persecute the church, the more it grows and get's stronger.
Also, God is separation the chaff from the wheat, the tares from the wheat, the goats from the sheep all the old liberal mainline denominational churches are being infiltrated by liberals and are dying.

Ha ha. Yeah. When I was 18 or 19, I noticed that the basic attitude of religious syncretists was, "All religions are ways to God...except for traditional Christianity."
